Being in the twilight of their lives, world-weary pensioner Leon and his supportive wife Zacharoula have learned how to lower their expectations. Having spent two long decades visiting the same quiet resort for their summer vacations, this year, too, the grizzled couple knows that an uninteresting routine awaits them--after all, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. However, more and more, against the backdrop of sun-soaked ennui, life's ultimate certainty, and a heinous crime, Leon finds himself confronted with the unknown, sensing that the end is near. But can time break the indomitable human spirit?
