As Warner Brothers had temporarily shut down its' animation division by the time this show went into production, the opening and closing sequences were produced by the New York City-based Hal Seeger studios (although utilizing the Warners characters), which resulted in a decidedly different feel from the earlier cartoons showcased on the program.
Each episode featured three theatrical short films. A total of 78 short films were used in this series.
This was the first television series featuring Porky Pig as the main character. The character was often overshadowed by more popular Looney Tunes stars, such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
