Jessica Chastain was on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to promote her upcoming film “Memory” on Friday night, but as so many conversations have this year, their discussion included Taylor Swift talk. Chastain revealed to Fallon that she received a personalized breakup playlist after meeting the “sweet” singer for the first time at the Met Gala in 2011.
“I met her in 2011 at the Met Ball, and we were both… it was like the first year I was invited to the Met Ball, the first year I had movies out,” Chastain said. “And we were both sitting next to each other, next to Ryan Murphy, who was just starting to become successful with all his TV shows. And she was so sweet.”
“I had just went through a breakup and I was talking to her about that,” Chastain continued, “and, you know, we went and danced together — it was such a fun night.

Discovery and Liberty Global-owned super-producer All3Media has completed the acquisition Nordic Entertainment Group’s Nent Studios UK.
Nent Studios UK, which is behind Viaplay/Channel 4’s Connie Nielsen and Christopher Eccleston drama Close To Me, was put up for sale last November, little more than a year after the production and distribution business was established.

All3Media CEO Jane Turton said: “There has never been more demand for high quality IP, and we are all looking forward to working closely with the producers of these shows.” Louise Pedersen, CEO of All3Media International, added: “With over 10,000 hours of content, and some fantastic internationally known programmes, this catalogue will be an excellent and complementary addition to our library.

The letter, organized by an anonymous group of freelancers, began gaining traction over the weekend, and has to date garnered close to 1,200 signatories, encompassing commissioners, channel executives, managing directors and executive producers. More than 1,000 freelancers from production, post-production, on-screen talent, writers, talent agents and accountants have also signed the letter, which has now been presented to ITV executives. The battle lines have been drawn between outspoken ITV host Piers Morgan and Adeel Amini, the chair of industry org Coalition for Change, after the latter revealed he had a negative experience working on Morgan’s show “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.”
Hostilities flared on Thursday when Amini tweeted: “I’m gonna poke the beast here. TV freelancers: would you turn down a job based on a company’s previous output / who the presenter was / what message the show sends?”
“(Full disclosure: I worked on P*ers M*rgan’s Life Stories as a researcher but now I’d very much say no),” the tweet added. Amini has 4,030 followers on Twitter.
In response, Morgan, who is also the co-host of popular ITV breakfast show “Good Morning Britain,” responded: “Hi Adeel, you spent precisely two months working on Life Stories in 2010 & judging by your CV that was the pinnacle of your TV career.
