Bill Skarsgård will star in the crime thriller Dead Man’s Wire, which leapfrogs director Gus Van Sant’s planned collaboration with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Gus Van Sant hasn’t directed a film in several years now, with the American filmmaker most recently having made several episodes of Feud: Capote Vs The Swans for the small screens.

A few months ago, we heard that the director of My Own Private Idaho and Good Will Hunting would be reuniting with the stars of the latter film, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, to make Killing Gawker, an adaptation of Ryan Holiday’s book, Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, And The Anatomy of Intrigue.

That project will chart the real-life tale of how billionaire libertarian Peter Thiel used Hulk Hogan as his proxy to sue gossip website Gawker out of existence after it released a sex tape of the legendary wrestler.

For major Dragon Ball fans, the start of 2025 will be an excellent beginning to the new year. Crunchyroll has announced the highly anticipated English dub release date for Dragon Ball Daima, starring Stephanie Nadolny as Goku (Mini) after a 15-year absence from the franchise.

Via a press release, Crunchyroll has announced the Jan. 10, 2025, release date for the English dub of Dragon Ball Daima. Dragon Ball Daima has proven to be a unique outlier thats brazenly nostalgic to the series past, but also willing to forge ahead into exciting territory that feels distinctly different. Dragon Ball Daima admittedly kicks off with a gimmick Goku and everyone else getting turned into children but these juvenile transformations feel secondary to the grander Demon Realm adventure that lies ahead.

In Dragon Ball Daima, Goku and his friends face a new threat thanks to Gomah and the Demon Realm. Phillips' Hulk Hogan biopic, starring Chris Hemsworth as the iconic wrestler, was first announced in 2020, and was being produced by Netflix. Following the announcement, the hype was at an all-time high as Chris Hemsworth kept fans updated on his workouts to portray the gigantic wrestling superstar. The project saw numerous delays due to the Covid pandemic and the joint WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but fans held out hope for the movie.

However, in an interview with Variety to promote the upcoming Joker: Folie Deux, Todd Phillips confirmed that his Hulk Hogan film is officially down for the count. In June of this year, Chris Hemsworth said that the project was still going ahead, although there would be a long wait before audiences see it.

The Hulk Hogan biopic, starring Chris Hemsworth as the titular WWE superstar, has been scrapped. The disappointing news is not too surprising, since the project had been stuck in development hell for months.

As a teaser, Oliveri offered up the Vol. 8 opener “Chains and Shackles” — the first official release of a 2010 collaborative track with Slash.

The song originates as an outtake from Slash’s 2010 self-titled album and is finally receiving a proper release on Oliveri’s comp. His unhinged snarls and Slash’s frenetic riffing call back to the stoner-punk that the former contributed to the early Queens of the Stone Age albums.
