Kevin Pocock praises mech-warrior mastery and Fps evolution in Titanfall...

Somehow it happened. Having blissfully existed – part-time, you understand – in gaming worlds for over twenty years, an odd feeling has recently taken me. Something I never expected, and which (truthfully) I never thought would be the case. Many times I've briefly considered it, but disregarded others' curious fascinations before continuing with the thought half-formed. Happy with one character living out the experiences I can't or won't ever face, I've been experiencing one-dimensional alter-egos. Characters missing a friend.
I've followed protagonists over the shoulder, first-person and third. I've spent years farming the lands of Middle-Earth, and hundreds of hours mixing blood and bullets on Dice's battlefields. Largely I've been content to carry on this way. But then Titanfall hit. Now the future-tech beast has grabbed me in its shiny, bone-crunching paws and Respawn has reconfigured my earth-bound thinking.
Shoot The Stars
It's a curious thing.

Ray Quinn was crowned the winner of the final ever series of ITV's Dancing on Ice with professional skating partner Maria Filippov last night (March 9).
The 25-year-old star beat Coronation Street's Hayley Tamaddon and her skating partner Dan Whiston to win the All-Stars trophy, while gymnast Beth Tweddle ranked in third place.
To commemorate Quinn's victory, Digital Spy celebrates the plucky star's career to date - from his award-winning role in Brookside to his second Dancing on Ice triumph.
Young Raymond
Ray Quinn, then known as Raymond, weeps with joy as he wins a British Soap Award for his role as traumatised teenager Anthony Murray in Channel 4 soap Brookside.
Ray's sweet style
Young Raymond later poses with his gong backstage. And his suit reminds us a bit of Tom Hanks in Big.

June 4th is coming up soon so Capcom and Dontnod are showing off their version of near future with the dystopian, memory hacking game, "Remember Me" hear in New York. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to check out the full demo as I was still nostalgie-tripping over "DuckTales" but I did get a few hands on moments with some combat and explored a bit of the seedy underbelly of Neo Paris.
Agile, Fluid Combat
Real talk: "Batman: Arkham Asylum" changed brawlers for the better ( I know -- bold stance to take). I'm not saying Dontnod ripped the idea straight from the Dark Knight but the similarities are hard to miss. Nilin is a very agile brawler, easily transitioning punches and kicks effectively from enemy to enemy. The section I played focused on melee characters, so I'm not sure how it'll be fleshed out against enemies packing heat. Additionally,...
