The wildly popular NBC series Friends was still four years into the future when one of its biggest stars began appearing in music videos for Jon Bon Jovi. In 1990, Matt LeBlanc was trying to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry when he was tapped to star in a video for Jon Bon Jovi’s first solo project, Blaze of Glory. He would go on to film a second one at the height of his Friends fame as well.

HBO Max is continuing to pull from Warner Bros.’ incredible back catalogue of movies, with August bringing a huge number of new titles to the streaming service. A highlight for many users will probably be the glut of Batman films coming to HBO Max at the start of the month. It’s August 2020 and that can only mean one thing: HBO Max is about to enter Lovecraft Country.
Over the years HBO (and by the transitive property its new HBO Max streaming offshoot) has grown accustomed to debuting a buzzworthy new TV show or limited series every couple of months. For August 2020 that will almost certainly be Southern Gothic horror series Lovecraft Country. The J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele-produced thriller arrives on August 14 on HBO and HBO Max.
Other strong HBO Max originals arriving in August include the documentary Class Action Park (release date Tbd), Seth Rogen-starring comedy An American Pickle (Aug. 6), and finales for I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, Doom Patrol, and Perry Mason.
Of course, HBO Max is designed to house much of WarnerMedia’s content across many mediums. That means some recent movies on note like Jojo Rabbit (Aug. 1), Richard Jewell (Aug. 8), and Birds of Prey (Aug.

Well, pack it up, everyone. If you weren't lucky enough to nab tickets for Adele's sold-out 25 tour, it's likely that you won't get to see her live ever again. According to The Sun, the English singer left a handwritten note to fans in tour programs for her final concerts at Wembley Stadium in the UK, hinting that she's giving up touring. The note reads as follows: So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end. We have taken this tour across UK+ Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too. Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn't suit me particularly well. I'm a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus I'm dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! I've done 119 shows...

Hours before Taylor Swift stepped out in a miniskirt Friday in New York City, Calvin Harris made a statement of his own, releasing a brand new song titled "My Way" - and the buzz has already begun as to whether or not it's about his ex. "[The] song's about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, you're way more comfortable out of it," Harris told iHeartRadio of his new single released Thursday night. "And it could be anything," he added cryptically. "It could be a job, or it could be a relationship. I had the...

Calvin Harris says the dissolution of his 15-month relationship with Taylor Swift led to a "media circus," putting his private life squarely in the public eye. In the October issue of British GQ, Harris called the split from Swift - which was confirmed by People in June - challenging. "It's very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly," he told the magazine. "The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself." Harris, 32, explained that he and Swift, 26, were "very careful" to keep their romance personal: "She respected my feelings in that sense.

Seeing Betty, blonde and beautiful, floating down those steps puts lump in the throat after last week's revelations. Remember when Don and Betty were happy together? It's pretty to think so. "Mad Men" is at its best when delivering blunt truths and unsentimental punches. But this unabashed and emotional trailer reminds how heartfelt the show could be. How Matthew Weiner will wrap it all up is, literally, anyone's guess. He has been told that the final episode, which has been on his mind from the beginning, is a "disaster" but he's going with it anyway. The finale, "Person to Person," airs this Sunday, May 17. The 43-year-old Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star is currently undergoing medical evaluation and it has not yet been determined whether or not he will be able to perform on Monday night's semi-finals.
This hasn't been the first injury Ribeiro has suffered during the intense season. Earlier this month, he told Et that he suffered a groin injury while doing the Carlton dance with partner Witney Carson. "Groins take a long time to heal," he said. "Rest is really the only answer."
Just this Saturday, Ribeiro dished to Et that his age over younger competitors Janel Parrish (26), Bethany Mota (19) and Sadie Robertson (17) is his biggest disadvantage when it comes to winning the coveted mirror ball trophy.

What's a Bridget Jones film without Hugh Grant?!
Say it isn't so!
In what's sure to be disappointing news for fans of the Bridget Jones' Diary films starring Renee Zellwegger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant, Grant confirmed in a new interview with Free Radio in the West Midlands that he won't be reprising his role as the shady-but-lovable Daniel Cleaver in the third installment of the franchise.
"I decided not to do it," the 54-year-old actor said, "but I think they're going to go ahead and do it without Daniel. The book's excellent, by the way, but the script is completely different -- well, the script as I last saw it a few years ago."

Say it isn't so!Katy Perry and John Mayer have parted ways, E! News reports. A source close to the couple tells the site that Perry ended the relationship with Mayer over the last few days. While there's no further details at the moment as to why the cute couple called it quits, Katy has been traveling solo on her recent trips to London and Milan. Even though the singers have had a rocky relationship -- breaking up and getting back together numerous times since they started dating in 2012 -- it seemed like the pair were going strong, especially in the last few months. The couple released a duet and an adorable music video for "Who You Love" from John's new album Paradise Valley back in December, and Katy was also spotted earlier this month rocking a giant ring on that finger. If the split reports are true, it looks...

Say it isn't so! Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have decided to call it quits, People reports. In a joint statement to the mag, the couple explains that they will still be good friends despite the separation. "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time." The pair first met when the "Blurred Lines" singer was just 14-years-old. They tied the knot in 2005 and welcomed their son Julian Fuego Thicke in 2010. There have been warning signs, though. Robin was spotted getting a little too touchy with one of his fans over the summer and was photographed again getting very close with a mystery woman at a nightclub earlier this year. The couple also seemed to show waaaaay too much Pda whenever they hit the red carpet together. It looks like that intervention worked! Of course, that's not necessarily a good thing. Just one day after overseeing the 2013 Emmys, which included a humorous sketch of his How I Met Your Mother costars' efforts to help him overcome Excessive Hosting Disorder, Neil Patrick Harris posted a tweet that seems to suggest he may be cured. "Emceeing the Emmys was fun, but I'm sure glad it's over. Looking forward to not hosting anything for a long time," he wrote. Say it isn't so! Mind you, the guy didn't go so far as to state that he's completely done with such gigs, but still! Then again, Harris has been keeping himself pretty busy in the last few...

Johnny Depp, 50, surprisingly revealed that he plans to retire from acting soon in a new interview with the BBC.
"I wouldn't say that I'm dropping out any second," Depp said about continuing his already legendary career. "But I would say it's probably not too far away."
He counted the "insane" concept of acting as one of the main reasons.

Well, this sounds great: Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, speaking at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, said that, more or less, the Hollywood system as we know it is about to come crumbling down. Thankfully they gave us a heads-up so we have time to go buy hardhats and heavy duty tarps. (And those kids still have time to change majors, gulp.)
"They're going for the gold," Lucas, the man who created "Star Wars," said. Unencumbered by irony, he continued: "But that isn't going to work forever. People are going to get tired of it. They're not going to know how to do anything else." Spielberg, known for his own small art house movies like "Jaws" and "War of the Worlds," sounded even bleaker: "There's eventually going to be a meltdown." Say it isn't so, Uncle Stevie! "There's going to be an implosion where three or four of these...

As The Hangover Part III looks set to clean up at the box office, Simon wonders why comedies can't aim a bit higher....
Amongst the many majestic scenes in Carl Reiner's hugely underappreciated comedy classic All Of Me is one where Steve Martin has to go the toilet. By this time, he's sharing a body with Lily Tomlin, with each of them controlling one half of it. Thus, Martin needs Tomlin to, bluntly, do the necessaries.
It's brilliantly and simply shot, with Tomlin's face the reflection in the mirror, delivering a difficult performance pitch perfectly. Martin, not for the first time in his career, is genuinely astounding too, one of the most gifted comedy actors of all time. They take a simple scene, and turn it into something special. Basically, two gifted performers sell you a superb, very funny scene about a man having a pee.

So, will Gus Van Sant get down and dirty and direct the big screen version of E L James' best-selling sex novel? Say it isn't so. "Fifty Shades of Grey" is like "Twilight" for smut. Remove the sex scenes and it becomes less interesting (with "Twilight," remove all the vampire/werewolves references and we're left with nothing).
But according to TheWrap, Van Sant shot test footage of a sex scene last weekend with Alex Pettyfer playing Christian Grey, the main character and S&M connoisseur.
TheWrap went on further and revealed that the scene Van Sant shot was when the female character, Anastasia Steele, loses her virginity to Christian. Van Sant is an interesting choice by Universal and Focus (the studios are tag teaming production/distribution of this flick), if it's true. The Oscar-nominated director is known for well told films like "Milk" and "Good Will Hunting." But then again,...

This is a potentially distressing piece of news, even though it's barely even a rumor at this point. Certain stars -- most, in fact -- are notorious for unabashedly flaunting their celebrity status. They demand immediate service upon arriving at restaurants, make increasingly lofty requests on their concert riders and find any opportunity they can to brag about their success.
Then there's that small, select group of stars whose humility never wavers. They seem surprisingly aware that they, too, are -- gasp! -- normal people. (Say it isn't so!) Anytime the glaring lights of a talk-show set or award-show stage are beaming down on them, these stars are bastions of likability. So now we honor those famous faces who seem genuinely floored by their own success, never forgetting how fortunate they are to have gotten the lucky break that so many pine after. Often self-deprecating, sometimes overly humble and always utterly beguiling, these stars never lose sight of the amazing windfalls that have greeted them, and we love...

Going into last night's episode of The Good Wife, we knew one fabulous thing: Nick was gone. For good. He wouldn't be returning with either his school bully snarl or vulgar ice cream parlor antics. He was gone. Phew. Done. Thank God, right?
Well, yes. Except Nick's absence was also the only fabulous thing about last night's episode. In "Boom De Ya Da," Alicia reacquainted with an old nemesis, Diane Lockhart glared at Nathan Lane in over six ways, and Kalinda appeared for a quick minute to show us she was Nick-free Kalinda. Otherwise, the episode was a dull, almost nondescript regurgitation of the firm's familiar woes and Eli's familiar grimaces. I never want to feel sick of Eli's maniacal responses and pointy face. And here I am, mirroring his frown in a sad update of the Harpo-and-Lucy act. Noooooo.
Nonetheless, here are some provocative moments worth revisiting. Let's add 'em up.

Say it isn't so! Reports are coming in now that there's been a bit of a shake up over at 20th Century Fox and that Rupert Wyatt, who directed the amazing Planet of the Apes reboot, may be backing out of directing duties for the sequel. Read on to see why he might.
This news truly breaks my heart, and I had to steel myself to even write this article. I've made no secret that Rise of the Planet of the Apes is my favorite film from 2011, and by and large it was the most well done. Rupert Wyatt pulled off what no one expected; a good Apes film to bring the franchise back. The film made more money than the studios were expecting and critics and fans alike rejoiced when Wyatt confirmed he would be back to helm the sequel (recently titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes). Now that may not happen.
