My review was written in February 1991 after watching the program on Cinevue/Postal video cassette.
This silly sequel is an overlong, torturous picture to watch, done in by very poor acting and unimaginative scripting.
Both "Honeymoon" features were cranked out last year back to back, and the lack of inspiration shows. Angela Shepard, killed off as "Shelley Winters" in the first one, returns as the dead woman's twin sister "Lisa" who tags along with newly weds Tom Eckert and Donna Kozlowski on their honeymoon visit to the same bungalow where Shelley was murdered.
Bad news is that neither Eckert nor Kozlowski can properly read a line of dialog; worse news is that it takes nearly two full hours until the cast is murdered. There are a couple of twists but none worth waiting for.
If underground filmmaker George Kuchar is video mister Steve Postal's direct ancestor, this time around the specter of Andy Warhol looms. Cast is given to arguing and baiting each other, just as Viva did in many a Warhol opus like "Bike Boy". Results here are unrewarding, with talented young thesp Angela Shepard unable to carry the load alone.
Pic's final scene is nearly identical to the first "Honeymoon Murders" and much of the preceding footage is simply a rehash. Director Postal should hire a pro editor to whittle these movies down a couple of reels and break up the static, talky scenes.
