A bit taxing....but some funny moments
inkblot111 December 2004
Nanette Fabray is a sharp IRS investigator who loves her job so much it is difficult for her to retire. Her husband (John Cotton) has long since left the work force, leaving his former job to be performed by their son. Daughter Susan is a do-gooder in love with an Hispanic police officer. But, alas, the family business is taking a nosedive and may be cooking the books! How will it all shake down?

This typical eighties movie is not especially noteworthy but does have some humorous moments. The new widow next door, who has her eyes searching for another husband, is a hoot while the details of Fabray's job requires her to dress wildly at times. Daughter Susan is a beauty and so is her hunky boyfriend. All in all, if you have a yen for unknown movies, this one may satisfy for an evening.
