A Woman's Privilege
Joe Ashton is a middle aged man who owns a small garage in the country.
While on a cruise, he meets and falls in love with attractive and much younger London girl Shirley Fawcett.
They decide to get engaged and start a new life abroad. He sells his garage only to find that Shirley has changed her mind. In fact she plans to marry her ex fiance.
Joe sues for breach of promise as he lost money on his garage for a quick sale.
Edgar Lustgarten narrates this tale but it is another essentially domestic situation that heads to court. Notwithstanding all the stock footage of the couple visiting various places.
I was surprised how Joe sold his garage and house so quickly. Conveyancing must really had been fast in the old days. He really did not have a clue that Shirley had turned on him.
