LONG-WINDED COMEDY
J. Steed2 October 1999
Long-winded and itself dragging along love comedy with old fashioned story material without any new idea., except for the in the meantime almost obligatory homosexual who also desperately wants to have a cuddly relationship. Before the real story starts director Peter Weck appears in a short scene that absolutely is unimportant to the main story; how vain can one be? Cast may be in general acceptable (but when will we see Gudrun Landgrebe ever again in a good part?), though I hardly could watch smooth face Rainhard Fendrich without feeling nausea.

During watching (there is plenty of time) I considered that the main problem with mainstream (tv)comedy film is lack of good and surprising scripts and a good, really comic cast

happy with music

I loved every Rainhard Fendrich movies. And specially his music is always super!!! "Das Maedchen aus der Torte" had a cool title song, I love it when Rainhard make music in english ("I Am From Austria"). "Killing Eyes" was sung by female voice, I don't know who she were. But I read the credits in the film that He wrote it with someones called Alec Corwin. I can not wait for the CD any more. I hope to see it in the store OR online soon!!! I love Rainhards cool, Vienna dialect. The film also had the very great Marion Mitterhammer, Heio von Stetten, and Ursula Buschhorn. The cast was brilliant and under the direction of Peter Weck made the film perfekt. I hope to see more of Rainhard Fendrich and Peter Weck together again.
