Van Morrison has shared the title track from his new double album, Latest Record Project: Volume 1, set to arrive May 7th via Exile/BMG.
“Latest Record Project” is a cheeky bit of classic yet self-aware soul. It finds Morrison pairing vintage sonics — Hammond organ, shuffling drums, backing vocalists cooing “sha-la-la” — with the musings of an artist who has a back catalog packed with hits but hasn’t ceased making new music: “Have you got my latest songs I’m singing?/You got my latest songs I’m singing?/Not something...

Raabta
Starring Sushant Singh Rajput,Kriti Sanon, Jim Serbh
Directed by Dinesh Vijan
There is something about Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, something sexy without really getting into the bed or talking dirty the way Ranveer Singh and Vani Kapoor did in the wretched Befikre, which for all practical purposes, has a sexual pun tucked away the ‘fikre’.
Sex is of course important in Raabta. Why should it not? Two young people Shiv and Saira (do not frown at the religious divide which the film blissfully ignores) meet flirt and do whatever else follows. This is Budapest captured in all its gorgeous glory by Czech cinematographer Martin Preiss who can’t decide what he loves more, the lovers or the landscape. So the camera decides to celebrate the lovers love and the landscape all in one swirling breathless scoop of sleazeless sexiness.
Sushant always plays his characters as eager-to-please,...

The first couple episodes start off a sillier crime story.
Mistaken identity is not as prominent in the Coen Brothers filmography as you’d expect. Outside of the mix up in The Big Lebowski, this specific kind of comedy of errors can’t be found. But it has seeped into Noah Hawley’s Fargo series, which continues to check off Coens tropes as it pays tribute to their movies, quite comfortably. Yet still maybe not as we’d presume. The new season focuses on a set of lookalike brothers, but they’re not, as Shakespeare would have it, confused for each other. Instead, like in Lebowski, it’s a name that sets this caper in motion.
Following a prologue set in East Germany in 1988 involving its own tragic misidentification, Season 3 jumps to central Minnesota, this time in the year 2010, as Ray Stussy (Ewan McGregor) attempts to settle an old inheritance dispute with his much more successful brother...

Why Good Guys FightSeven reasons why heroes battle heroes in the movies.
Movies pitting heroes against heroes is supposedly a big trend with comic book movies right now, but good guys fighting each other is not anything new. The scale might be different when you have Batman and Superman face off or whole teams of Avengers in opposition, but we’ve already seen Thor versus Iron Man, we’ve seen most of the Guardians of the Galaxy brawl before becoming a team, been treated to Raphael going garra a mano with Casey Jones, and we’ve even witnessed Superman battle his own alter ego.
And of course there have been plenty that aren’t superhero and comic book based. In fact, it’s easier in stories without such black and white separation of good and evil. And movies with antiheroes or bad guys as protagonists or anything where the Us government is involved as a collective bunch...

In a promo for Fox’s new sketch comedy program Party Over Here, executive producer Paul Scheer (The League) says he wanted to create a show “that felt like the live comedy that’s going on in New York.” Co-creator Andy Samberg probably should have informed him that there’s already a show like that, and Ariana Grande is currently hosting.

I loooove telekinesis movies. Love them! Ever since I witnessed Carrie's horrifying night at the prom, I was hooked. And while no film in the "telekinesis" sub-genre (?) has had quite the same effect on me, there are still a number of other worthy titles that feature characters who can move things simply with the power of their minds. In the video below, you can catch my rundown of five lesser-known/well-regarded telekinesis movies that are worth checking out. Mistaken identity: It’s a device of mishaps and misunderstandings that can launch a great comedy of errors or a thrilling drama. Either way, the appeal is the fish out of water story: People trapped in and trying to make their way in a strange world. 1. Santa and His “Allergies”: Earlier this month, a 7-year-old autistic girl, Abcde Santos, went to visit Santa at The Shops at Mission Viejo, but was turned away after waiting for 30 minutes because Santa was afraid of her service dog, Pup-Cake. Even when Abcde’s family offered to send her up alone, Santa refused because of “allergies.” Later, the mall said they were having him replaced by someone “more compassionate.”

Wu-Tang Clan have a release date for their oft-delayed new album "A Better Tomorrow," and they're sticking with it: mark Dec. 2 on your calendar. Perhaps as a sign of good faith, the crew has dropped another actual new song, "Ruckus in B Minor," from the set. Pre-order has also gone up, and fans can get three tracks straightaway if they so choose to do so: "Ruckus" plus two other previously released tunes, "Keep Watch" and "Ron O'Neal." What may also surprise Wu-Tang supporters -- aside from the shock that the group is releasing their first effort in seven years -- is that the voice of the late Ol' Dirty Bastard (aka Odb) will be, in some manner, present on the set. Here is the tracklist for Wu-Tang Clan's "A Better Tomorrow": 1. Ruckus In B Minor 2. Felt 3. 40th Street Black / We Will fight 4. Mistaken Identity 5. Hold the Heater 6. Crushed...

As a professional film critic -- whatever that may be -- I have a handful of concrete rules by which I ply my ostensible trade, and not reviewing films by or heavily involving close friends is one of them. Which presents a bit of a problem when tasked with writing about any given Muppet movie. No, I can't claim I've ever knocked back a beer with Kermit the Frog, gone shopping with Miss Piggy or got close to any of the cloth-skinned crowd without the dividing wall of a television screen between us, but damn it if I don't feel closer to them than I do to any number of human names in my address book. Growing up, I knew their vaudeville numbers inside out. I'd record the umpteenth rerun of even the Crystal Gayle episode with completist's excitement. And I treasured my Kermit toothbrush until the bristles began falling out,...

After a two-week break, it didn't take long for the Reagans to be in the thick of action again on "Blue Bloods."
In "Mistaken Identity," Friday's (Dec. 13) episode of the CBS police drama, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) went with partner Maria (Marisa Ramirez) to investigate the bombing of a mosque. An imam (Alok Tewari) informed the cops it wasn't the first trouble for the site, and he suspected neighbors feared a religion they didn't understand.
"Haters gonna hate," Maria reasoned, though a gang symbol had been left in one of the incidents. The detectives went to quiz gang leader Kevin (Gregory Cook), who displayed more than a trace of attitude -- directly insulting Maria, who cautioned him about police rules for dealing with "verbally abusive suspects," then made a direct knee-to-crotch "connection" with him.
An apparent witness cleared Kevin, but surprised Danny and Maria by claiming the bomber had been wearing Muslim attire.

The Good Wife! The Vampire Diaries! The Walking Dead! General Hospital! The TV Addict Week in Rewind
Best Night Of Television: Between Revenge, The Good Wife, Masters Of Sex and The Walking Dead, Sunday night and a DVR could keep a TV lover happy for the entire week.
Oddest Tradition: “So,” asked The Vampire Diaries’ Stefan of Mystic Falls’ Remembrance Day, “we have a holiday dedicated to burying people alive?” We’ll drink to that!
Tackiest Ads: Promos for the game Battlefield 4 feature gamers describing things like stabbing people, destroying and other horrors of war gleefully.
Worst Idea Ever: Glee is considering Kurt to the virulently anti-gay Russia. Sorry, but a show that was too afraid to address teen drug abuse head-on when given the opportunity can’t be trusted with something so incredibly incendiary.
Best Halloween Costumes: General Hospital’s cast donned some outrageously fun outfits, including badguy Faison, who did a dead-on impression of Beetlejuice!
Sweetest Rerun: Sunday night, Fox will air an episode of...

Though mistaken identity is a relatively infrequent incident in real life, it’s one of the few movie concepts that can create fertile ground for both comic and serious ventures almost from the outset. Is there not just something tantalising about seeing someone thrown into an excessive situation, entirely out of their depth?
As they struggle to re-assert their own identity and eschew the one they’ve been saddled with, it’s an extremely versatile concept that has been a hugely successful formula for Hollywood movies over the decades.
Also somewhat timely with today’s constant fears about identity theft – hence the box office success of the recent Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy-starring vehicle Identity Thief – the genre, like many of the best, taps into an inherent fear, something that is ticking over in our minds even if we’re not always consciously obsessed with it.

Mistaken identity! Robert Pattinson and near-namesake Rob Patterson finally came face-to-face on Saturday, March 23 when they bumped into each other at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. The 26-year-old Twilight actor and the 42-year-old guitarist (and Carmen Electra ex) shared a few laughs over Patterson always being confused for Pattinson. Tonight is a good night.
After a long drought, we were treated to a pair of hilarious episodes. If you read my review of the Season 2 premiere, you know that I was a little nervous heading into the first episode of the fall.
I wanted... no, needed, it to be funny. My Tuesday nights have been so sad without you, Schmidt!
After a great kickoff at 8 p.m., "Katie" kept New Girl riding high.
Still unemployed, Jess is trying to find things to do with her time and in this episode, those things happen to be men (after a failed attempt at art and cooking). Mistaken identity is the name of the game, and Jess has no problem lying when a handsome stranger, Sam (David Walton), thinks she's his CupidMatch date. All true love comes out of a fake mutual appreciation of Creed, right?
