A fun movie

I had never seen the Blair Witch Project so I didn't understand a lot of the gags at first. All I saw was a few guys in the woods acting stupid. The movie was funny before seeing the Blair Witch, but after seeing it, it was even more of a treat.

The way they parodied some memorable scenes in their own Monty Pythonesqe ways made me watch the movie time after time. I recommend this movie to anyone who's looking for an interesting movie to watch while drinking or having a party. If a DVD is out there, it has a spot on my rack.

Move over Hardware Wars, there's a new parody in town.

When I first heard about this movie, I thought it was going to suck. I went to a coffee shop to see it, and I didn't expect much, just three guys fooling around with a camera or something. What I saw was one of the funniest (poorly done) parodies that I'll probably ever see. Now, then I say poorly done, it was because the movie was done on only Digital VHS (obviously). The fight scenes were the best parts, along with the vomit scene... which made me a bit queesy because IT'S REAL! Jason Mewes' special appearance was a little short, but he's got a good interview, I was expecting to see him more. Anyway, I recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good comedy... and anyone who HATES the Blair Witch Project.

I just came back from seeing "The Blair Clown Project" surrounded by the filmmakers, actors, and friends. The movie was excellent and the running commentary was good as well. I expect to see great things from these guys. I just met them, and I love them already. :) SEE THE MOVIE!

Not bad for another flick done in Puke-a-vision!

Ok, Blair Witch made me want to yack, not due to the content which was (at the time) unique and original, but due to the fact that it was filmed in Puke-a-vision(tm). Knowing this, I was a little apprehensive when given the opportunity to attend a viewing of Blair Clown. (And by viewing, I mean, watch a VHS copy we got at the comic store.)

Keeping that in mind, I watched in bits and pieces because they PERFECTLY mimicked the jerky camera movements from Blair Witch. I'll tell you what though, there are some gems of scripted and impromptu humor in this tape. There are gags that are funny even a year or so later. And if you were to ask if this movie sucked...I would have to say....."Nooooope!"

A Project Worth Watching, at last

Yes, I know everybody's sick to death of Blair Witch rip-offs, especially of the snotting, scared girl in the wool hat shining a Maglite up her face and sobbing. But you know, this movie actually transcends that level of mediocre parody...it actually pulls off a genuine satire of a really pretentious and inept original.

The Blair Clown Project has a handful of truly brilliant and inventive moments and they succeed in satirizing what made the original film so irritating - long, pointless scenes of camera-mugging, over-emoting actors and excessive padding.

As parodies of "Blair Witch" go, this is one of the best, perhaps second only to the pornographic version released last year, but certainly better than the hordes of knock-offs done by anyone with an 8mm camcorder and a few acres of woods nearby. I strongly urge you to see this movie, preferably with a large group of people and a case of malt liquor.

Finally! A movie that defies God and Country!

This movie is without a doubt the most hilarious, funny, well acted, erotic, and scariest movie of all time! In my opinion, this film has a much more scary and erotic ending then the real Blair Witch Project. This movie is just one huge scary and erotic sandwich of love and hate. But really folks, I am just kidding about this film being erotic and well acted. It is just good old film making at it's best. It's nice to know that I am watching a movie that is made by real people, living real lives, eating real large and unhealthy amounts of processed meats. Having said all this, let me say this. This film is really funny and would be worth your time to see. I don't care what you have to do; lie, cheat, steal, murder, do what ever it takes to get a copy of this movie. You will not regret it. It's a really fine piece of cinema! May God have mercy on your souls!
