Not too deep but still worth seeing
mabaara24 January 2006
This movie is about a Turkish boy which is brought to Germany by his uncle. He has to sell drugs in the streets of a German city for a Turkish gang. He soon adapts to the scene. He gets to know his uncle and surrounding persons in a nasty way, which means they don't fear using violence even against this small kid. The boy's friend (a German taxi driver) feels responsible for him and tries to get him out of all of it. It is all about family boundaries and having to chose if these are more important than what's right (or legal). Not a super great movie but still worth seeing. It contains beautiful landscape scenes as well.

Modern tale
Reelboy-22 September 2000
The basic intrigue is rather unusual and very european: A young turkish boy is borrowed from his family to sell drugs on the street of Germany. We follow the harsh life of this kid only to be faced with a lack of closure from the story. There is generally an odd lack of explanation in the plot. All in all, the movie is cold is an emotionless.

What the heck happened to the rest of the story?!
imdb-824626 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
• Practically no solution of presented problems at the end.

• Long, slow scenes with Turkish music

• not-so-realistic characters (like the old man at the end, the young girl, and some others)

• Characters just show up, make up their story and never show up again (like the police, the drivers girl, the guys at the childcare ...)

Those are my points. Interesting illustration of a commonly happening story in German society however. This happens on a daily basis and few people are really aware of the conditions under which these people live and exist.

Its interesting to see this with pictures and real characters, although as I wrote before up in the list the characters are little realistic and appear and vanish all throughout the movie.
