An Amazing Short!
nottheboss10 April 2004
I saw the short film "House Party" in 1985. Reginald Hudlin was my teacher for a summer course in video art making as part of a larger multimedia workshop in Buffalo, NY. At the end of the summer he showed the short film to us and we were all captivated. I hadn't seen many shorts at the time.. but this gem, the seed for the feature film of the same name, was worthy at every moment. Always clever, funny, true to life, smart, slick, realistic... all the ingredients for pure entertainment were blended by a master chef for our appetite to be entertained. It succeeds on every level. To this day "House Party" is one of the best short films I have ever seen.

Thanks Reggie.
