One of the most mature, fascinating short films I have seen in a long time. The director is in for a long career if he keeps up this level of work.

I saw this screened at Cinequest, and was blown away by it. I was shocked to learn that the director is so young. I look forward to seeing his future projects. The movie did not leave my mind for weeks afterwards.

An interesting and unusual film greatly authenticated by the director's/writer's skillful use of sub titles. The story line sucks you in emotionally and holds you for the entire length of the film. The cinematography is hauntingly beautiful. The name Jerard Micah Herman is one I will look forward to seeing appear in the ranks of top young directors to come out of the NYU stable. I look forward to seeing his next production with great interest.

Mature and emotionally charged. "Empty" is one of the most beautifully shot films I have ever seen.

I had the opportunity to see the world premiere of this beautiful film at Cinequest last month. Unlike most short films, I found this one to linger with me well after its screening. It's portrayal of the human condition is sincere and emotionally charged, the production design impeccable, and the writing seamless. I cannot wait to see the first feature from this young and upcoming director. Truly exceptional work!!!
