The prosecution rested its case Friday afternoon in the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby, after jurors heard testimony about his use of Quaaludes with women whom he was interested in sexually.
The defense will began presenting its case on Monday — and Cosby’s spokesman says his team has not ruled out having him testify in his own defense.
“Nothing is ever off the table in a trial of this magnitude,” Andrew Wyatt told reporters during the lunch break on Friday. “You have to look at all your options. In a ball game, things change and players are taken out...

Natalie Portman is making up for the time spent having her first born son by diving headlong into a swimming pool/empty crater/large filing cabinet presumably filled with film scripts.
Just last week it was announced she was considering the titular role in the upcoming Jackie, which intends to chronicle Jackie Kennedy’s experience after her husband’s assassination. Today it has been revealed that she is mulling over two other films, Code Name Sasha and The Last Witness.
Code Name Sasha, touted as the lovechild of Training Day and La Femme Nikita (!), would see her cast as a young mother who has dallied with crime since a teen and now sees a way out through an FBI deal to expunge her past escapades. Oh yes, only if she goes undercover and brings down the world’s biggest gun-running organization.
This could definitely bring in the punters with the...

Twentieth Century Fox have gotten their hands on a spec script called “The Last Witness” by Danish writer Stefan Jaworski, reports Variety. Described as a “ticking-clock thriller”, the film would center on the lone survivor of a bomb attack in Boston, thus making him the last living witness, I guess you could say. Producer John Davis and his Davis Entertainment brought the project over to Fox, where Peter Kang will oversee for the studio. Stefan Jaworski is quite a prolific writer in his native Denmark, with a string of TV shows to his credit, including the features “The Candidate” and “The Gold of Valhalla”. “The Last Witness” will be his first Hollywood movie according to IMDb.com.

Twentieth Century Fox is in final negotiations to acquire the speculative screenplay The Last Witness, from Danish screenwriter Stefan Jaworski as he is ready to make his English-language debut with this.
The script is about the sole survivor of a bombing in Boston, and since it’s classified as a ticking-clock thriller it is due to some sort of suspense thriller that contains a race against the clock with lots of violence, and an apparent antagonist. As no other story details were given, I’m speculating he’s charged with either finding the bomber or stop another attack in very short amount of time.
The thriller will be produced through Davis Entertainment, which first brought the project to the studio, with Fox’s own Peter Kang managing the project. Fox executive Kang also closed the deal last Friday and acquired screen rights to Matthew Quirk’s first novel” The Five Hundred.

Coming to theaters April 1 is Duncan Jones's Source Code, a sci-fi thriller in which Jake Gyllenhaal must race against a ticking clock to discover a bomber before he finds more victims. But the race-against-the-clock thriller is a pretty evergreen genre-- after all, 24 lasted 8 seasons on the concept-- so it's no surprise to learn that another one is already in development, this one over at 20th Century Fox. Hey, with the 24 movie still stalled out, they may as well move on with a different idea. According to Variety, the studio is in final negotiations to acquire the spec script The Last Witness, from Danish screenwriter Stefan Jaworski as he prepares to make his English-language writing debut.
