The inimitable and irresistible Libertad LeBlanc, looking like Stripper Barbie (with equally as unlikely measurements) in a long platinum wig and a singular white ermine stole that likely cost more than the entire production budget, from the reverence with which she regards it everytime she dons and doffs it, like it's a star in its own right. She's Laura, international burlesque star who trades in her fur for a simple black blouse and slack set, though still in wig and full make-up, to delve deep into the (sensual) jungle of the title, in search of buried treasure, seducing all men she meets, some under the most primitive of conditions, in the heart of the Amazon.
Along the way we get reels and reels of a poor man's motor tour of Ecuador, which, from what we see here, is pretty unremarkable. Also lotsa local color courtesy of seemingly endless native Indian rituals to fill out the hour and a quarter run time and break up the monotony of the rest, devoted largely to lovingly shot footage of Miss Leblanc's love-making to the camera. Ridiculous premise and script, with some laughably painful lines, it's at its best in it's portrayal of a woman who knows what she wants and is always ready to use what she's got to get it, both for business and pleasure.
Overall a 2, but Miss Leblanc oozing sex like an ice cream sundae elevates it to 3.
