The series is at times intense and has some realistic battle sequences. Not much gore, some blood is seen in gunfights. Some hand to hand combat with bloody detail.
Lots of battles with blood, not much gore is shown though, there is one scene where a man is walking through a trench with some dead bloodied bodies. Similar to 1917, but not as graphic a Saving Private Ryan.
Some battles show people with missing legs and ligaments.
Violence: 8/10 Strong Violence (Battle horror)
Some soldiers are seen with burns on their arms from explosions, slightly graphic but not gory.
People are shot constantly with some blood spraying.

There is a lot of intense war violence.
An entire episode revolves around a concentration camp, this can be quite upsetting for some.
Due to the near constant fighting and explosions there are very few scenes that don't have a sense of tension hanging over them. Some episodes don't have any battles though, some have more character development episodes.
One episode shows a concentration camp with thousands of prisoners, their conditions are very hard to look at and might upset some. There are many piles of dead bodies in the camp.
Rated R for intense sequences of war violence throughout, language and brief sexuality/nudity.
People who were impacted by the Holocaust and World War II will find some scenes realistic.
