Paramount has announced today that they are hosting an IMAX Opening Day Fan Event for their upcoming Tom Cruise blockbuster Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning on Thursday, May 22 at 2 Pm (local time)!

Philip Barantini, the multi-award-winning director of the 2019 film “Boiling Point” and recent Netflix smash hit drama “Adolescence,” alongside his long-time collaborator and co-executive producer Samantha Beddoe, have sold a minority stake in their production company It’s All Made Up Productions, to Avalon.

The partnership, which began discussions last year, sees the emerging indie align with the British talent management and independent production giant.

With offices in London and plans to open an office in their home city of Liverpool, Barantini and Beddoe have a slate of productions already in development broadcasters, studios and streaming platforms in the U.K. and U.S.. The slate will focus on TV drama, film and documentaries with Barantini and Beddoe asserting that they will be committed to championing lesser-known and underrepresented voices and stories.

“We want to tell powerful stories that resonate and provoke through film, television and documentaries on the biggest scale possible.

"Legend of the Patriots" begins in late 1950, just before China's entry in the war, as South Korean and United Nations forces advance on the North Korean capital of Pyongyang. The London-based group said financing — a series of transactions — was led by its longtime bankers NatWest alongside Barclays and Santander. Its shareholders, including family office Gryphion, supported the overall package of senior and junior debt and equity lines.

The financial commitment “underscores the company’s ambitions and confidence in the entertainment sector,” the company said, and “empowers Cinesite to overcome the challenges posed by recent industry disruption that has affected the entire sector.”

He married fellow television agent Nancy Axelrode in 1999, and their son Alex was born in 2001. Alex Etz joined CAA as a mailroom employee after graduated from the University of Michigan.

In a blockbuster streaming deal, Korean streamer Coupang Play has inked a major content partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery that will bring some of HBO and Max’s most acclaimed series to Korean viewers starting March 21.

The HBO series Band of Brothers paid tribute to the American soldiers who were in the Second World War through the eyes of Easy Company’s 101st Airborne Division. Produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, who continued their association after Saving Private Ryan, the series was widely appreciated for its focus on American troops.

While the show was instrumental in highlighting the troops’ contributions and sacrifice, it was not entirely historically accurate. Based on the book by Stephen Ambrose, who reportedly collected testimonials and interviews from Easy Company veterans, many elements of the series took poetic licence, Tom Hanks signing off on it.

How about this for a match made in heaven: Pierce Brosnan gets to play a crime boss with Tom Hardy as his fixer in MobLand, a new Paramount+ gangster drama from producer Guy Ritchie, who also directs multiple episodes of the new series. Created by Ronan Bennett, MobLand follows Hardy as Harry De Souza, a loyal fixer for the Harrigan family, led by Brosnan's Conrad and Helen Mirren's Maeve. The trailer sets up the characters well, with Conrad noting that while Maeve is the family's matriarch, she's "the most dangerous of them all." The preview isn't short on blood and violence, something Ritchie is no stranger to, and it certainly looks like the exact type of show we love to see from everyone involved. We'll find out...

Tom Hanks is known as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, having worked as a leading man for several decades. Aside from some of his critically acclaimed roles, Hanks is known for co-creating the war drama miniseries Band of Brothers. However, while directing one episode of the series, Hanks rejected one actor for allegedly having dead eyes.

The actor in question Connor Ratliff ended up starting a podcast based on the experience. Ratliff eventually managed to get Hanks as a host on his podcast, where the actor shared his side of the incident leading to the young actor’s firing. Hanks understandably apologized to Ratliff for the incident and here is how the interaction between the two went down.
