What’s Good: Not trying too hard to release this in theatres and giving us the option to skip it midway…
What’s Bad: …though I couldn’t skip the film midway because of the review, but you can
Loo Break: You don’t even have to pause the film; in fact, watch it for ten minutes and go on a break for 1 hour 30 minutes, and by the time you are back, this will be over
Watch or Not?: Lol! Would you still ask from whatever you’ve read till now?

What’s Good: The film’s emotional beats feel pretty genuine, and that feels unique even when the setup and execution are a bit artificial
What’s Bad: Many lines of dialogue are too on the nose, and some characters sometimes act weird, confusing their motivations.
Loo Break: Yes, there are a couple of loo breaks, as some conversations or situations might not be interesting enough to hold everyone’s attention on the film.
Watch or Not?: This is a must-watch film if you are in the mood for something quite melancholic.

Taylor Swift performs two surprise songs for the acoustic set during every show of her Eras Tour and she has already performed a ton of incredible tracks during the first U.S. leg.
The 33-year-old singer is getting ready to continue the South American leg of the tour and you might be wondering what songs are remaining.
Taylor made a rule that she’s allowed to repeat songs if she messes them up the first time or if they’re from Midnights, her most recent studio album.
It’s unclear if Taylor is going to continue these rules for the remainder of the tour as she’ll likely reach the point where she has no more songs left to perform!

Love is dead. Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s highly private relationship has reportedly ended after six years. The pair have kept a low but loving profile throughout their relationship, a true feat for someone as globally famous as Swift. Her music, however, became a place for the award-winning singer-songwriter to offer intimate glimpses into how their relationship had developed and grown over the years. They even wrote songs together during quarantine, with Alwyn credited as “William Bowery” on her acclaimed 2020 albums Folklore and Evermore.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn's split after six years of dating has rocked fans of the Hollywood couple. According to an April 8 Entertainment Tonight report, the breakup happened weeks before it was made public and "was not dramatic." Apparently, "the relationship had just run its course."
Swift and Alwyn's relationship was incredibly sweet and low-key. They made very few official appearances together over the years, but Swift often alluded to their romance in her music, like when she sang about falling head over heels for the British actor in her song "Gorgeous." The lyrics recall her getting lost in his ocean-blue eyes, make fun of his British accent, and indicate she had a boyfriend when they first met (more on that later).
So, just how did the former lovebirds initially come into contact? The timeline is a little bit fuzzy, but it's believed the pair first met at...

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have called it quits. Et has exclusively learned that the “Lavender Haze” singer and the British actor broke up a few weeks ago.
Et has also learned that the split was amicable and “it was not dramatic.” Et’s told “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.” Swift, 33, is currently on her The Eras tour, which heads to Tampa, Florida next week.
It wasn’t so long ago when Swift and Alwyn were said to have been in a great place in their relationship. They started dating in late 2016, and a source told Et back in October that they were “doing great” and that their “relationship is super strong.”
That update came just hours after Swift dropped her highly anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights, followed by seven additional songs released in her surprise 3am Edition of the album.

Smartly sidestepping the obvious comparison from the start – the line-reading of “Hello gorgeous” sounds more conversational, less sing-songy than the one etched in our brains for all these decades – Broadway’s new Funny Girl revival doesn’t so much make a grand play for replacement as a peaceful offering for coexistence: The show that made Barbra Streisand a musical theater icon likely won’t do the same for its latest star, but neither is it cause for grumbling how-dare-shes.
Opening tonight at the August Wilson Theatre, Beanie Feldstein is, it turns out, a perfectly fine choice for this Funny Girl, which is not to say she’s perfect, but rather that she’s on equal footing with a just-above-average musical that has always been dominated by several excellent songs and a legendary breakout performance that lifted the show – and its plodding 1968 movie adaptation – well beyond the sum of its parts.

Fans have been convinced for years that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, are secretly engaged, or even secretly married. Alwyn, who stars in Hulu's upcoming "Conversations With Friends" finally addressed the rumors - kind of.
In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, he said, "If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins. I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say."
Alwyn confessed that he'd "like to feel slightly less guarded sometimes in interviews or in whatever kind of interactions," but he said, "If you give it to them, it just opens the door."

Anyone living under a rock over the past eight months, blissfully unaware that the country mismanaged the coronavirus outbreak and caused thousands of unnecessary deaths, would do well to watch “Totally Under Control.” Churned out by prolific documentarian Alex Gibney with co-directors Suzanne Hillinger and Ophelia Harutyunyan over the last few months, this infuriating overview of the government’s response to the virus isn’t revelatory or groundbreaking, but

Taylor Swift is taking her fans to the lakes. On Tuesday, Aug. 18, the superstar singer made her folklore bonus track "the lakes" available for streaming—and fans are convinced that the song is a nod to her relationship with Joe Alwyn. "Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die / I don't belong and, my beloved, neither do you," she sings on the romantic track. "Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry / I'm setting off, but not without my muse." As many Swifties may know, the Grammy winner has penned a number of songs about Alwyn, including "Gorgeous" and "Call It What You Want." Now, with...

Sony’s wildly successful PlayStation 5 reveal gave us all the information we’d been waiting to hear about for months, including the announcement of 26 brand new games, plenty of cool accessories to look forward to and even the quite aesthetically-divisive hardware itself. We even know what the game cases will look like and how big the new DualSense controller is expected to be in comparison to the DualShock 4. Unfortunately, however, we still haven’t heard anything about a price, as it appears Sony and Microsoft are in a stand-off with one another in hopes of beating the other in value.
Because of this, we also don’t know much in the way of when we’ll get to pre-order the new hardware, but some HTML code listed on the PlayStation store seems to indicate that it’s likely to be sooner rather than later – though it appears only one console...

The Fast & Furious franchise is known for death-defying stunts, but perhaps the most dangerous one occurred in the least memorable entry in the series.
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is set in Japan and follows an American street racer named Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), who’s ordered to live with his father in the country to avoid serious jail time after an incident in the U.S. It’s far from the franchise’s best outing, but it does have its moments.
Shooting a movie in any major city requires a lot of work including logistics and scouting locations, but before doing any of that, a production must acquire permits from a particular city giving them permission to shoot in certain areas. Japan is an especially hard city to get permits for, but director Justin Lin was adamant that they film in Shibuya, one of the most crowded locations in the country.

The fifth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise arrived the year after The Expendables, and while there may not be many similarities on paper between Dominic Toretto’s extended family and Sylvester Stallone’s aging band of mercenaries, both brands have built their appeal around gathering together as many big names as possible to embark on high-octane adventures that leave a trail of destruction in their wake.
Ever since Dwayne Johnson first boarded the ship with Fast Five almost a decade ago, the former street-racing series has gone out of its way to assemble some of the biggest names in the business to get in on the fun. In recent years, we’ve seen Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Ryan Reynolds and John Cena all sign up for the various sequels and spinoffs, and now we’ve heard that another beloved star of the...

With the Fast & Furious franchise one of the biggest, most popular and most lucrative brands in the industry, you might be forgiven for thinking that Universal might end up backtracking on their original plans to draw the recently-dubbed Fast Saga to a close after the tenth installment.
By that time, Dominic Toretto will have been a fixture on our screens for over 20 years, and while some fans would no doubt find it hard to say goodbye to the ensemble that they’ve followed for two decades, there’s reportedly more than enough Fast & Furious content in the works to tide them over for the foreseeable future.
Not only has Hobbs & Shaw looked to kick off a franchise that exists adjacent to the main timeline, but the long-rumored female-driven spinoff is still in the works according to Vin Diesel, while Ryan Reynolds might be getting in on the action...

The fact that the Fast & Furious franchise has never been beholden to the laws of physics, gravity, logic or even common sense has always been one of the most endearing aspects of the series, because the massive success enjoyed by the gang over the last decade just goes to show that not everyone wants their action blockbusters packed full of gritty realism.
Somehow, these movies keep raising the bar when it comes to ludicrous set-pieces involving almost every type of vehicle imaginable, and fans are mourning the fact that they have to wait until next year to see what Dominic Toretto and his crew get up to in the ninth installment, which looks to mark another major leap by having cars plucked out of the air by magnetized aircrafts and revealing that Dom had a secret brother we’ve never heard of before that just happens to be a master driver,...

2020 hasn’t been a good year for anyone, and although it seems like each month adds some new devastating event, one pervasive constant has remained – the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. As it continues its global spread, millions of folks around the world have been stuck inside during the lengthy shutdown that’s also seen businesses being forced to close their doors and lose out on tons of money.

You know that familiar Universal Pictures logo? The one where those huge silver letters envelop the Earth? Well, don’t expect to see it at AMC Theaters anytime soon.
Why? Well, because the cinema chain recently announced a blanket ban on all Universal movies, a decision made after the studio declared it would continue to release their films simultaneously via theaters and streaming, even once the social distancing restrictions brought on by Covid-19 were lifted.
Indeed, Universal is looking to explore VOD releases even further in the future, raising major question marks over blockbusters like Fast & Furious 9 and Jurassic World: Dominion – two juggernauts that theaters are no doubt excited to get their hands on. But as of yet, AMC and Universal have yet to make up and though they’re now talking about how to handle the whole thing, the former company still has no plans to show the studio’s films.

“It’s like a creative potpourri” says actor Betty Gilpin of her Netflix series “Glow.” The third season of the female wrestling comedy moved the location to Las Vegas, which created fascinating new developments for Gilpin’s character Debbie. Watch the full interview above.
“We’re being asked to do 100% of what we can do, physically and creatively,” explains Gilpin. The series demands expert comedic timing, deep exploration of emotions, and the ability to pull off impressive wrestling moves in a bedazzled costume. Other acting jobs might only ask for five percent of one’s potential according to the actress, so the creative atmosphere of “Glow” continues to keep the role satisfying after three seasons.

In a stunning move on Tuesday night, AMC Theatres announced that they would be banning all Universal Pictures movies from their cinemas over protest against the studio’s decision to release some of their future films in theaters and VOD simultaneously.
So, this means you won’t be able to see Fast & Furious 9 or Jurassic World 3 on the big screen at AMC. It’s quite the move from AMC Entertainment CEO and President Adam Aron and is especially curious considering the company’s continued struggles during the Covid-19 pandemic. They were forced to furlough all 600 of their corporate staff and have been on the brink of filing for bankruptcy for months now. As such, you’d think they would jump at the chance to re-open and screen as many movies from as many studios as possible.
Not to mention that Universal is arguably the second-biggest studio behind Disney.

The Fast & Furious franchise may be one of the biggest and most popular brands in Hollywood, and the crown jewel in Universal’s portfolio of bankable properties, but the blockbuster series has suffered a fair share of setbacks over the years. Paul Walker’s tragic death in 2013 saw the cast lose one of their closest friends, but they’ve since been allowed to carry on his legacy with the blessing of his family, which is fitting for a franchise that treats the word so importantly.
There was also the well-publicized falling out between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson that led to the two refusing to be in the same room together, which forced the filmmakers into some creative ways to shoot the scenes that required both Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs. If there’s one movie that will not be budging from its release date amidst the coronavirus outbreak, it’s Fast & Furious 9. That’s according to star Vin Diesel, at least.
While promoting his new effort Bloodshot, which releases this week, the action star spoke about the prospect of his most lucrative franchise, Fast & Furious, having to move due to the threat of it taking a hit at the international box office, saying:
“Let me put it to you this way: ‘Bloodshot’ at the end of the day is a soldier and a soldier doesn’t decide or pick when or where he’s deployed. We’re going to go in.”
Honestly, comparing your movie’s release date to being a soldier in war really annoys me. In no way should that be a comparison.
Diesel then went on to talk about the importance of the movie-going experience in general,...

Three songwriters have filed a countersuit against Lizzo, reasserting their claim that they helped write the pop star’s breakout smash “Truth Hurts,” but were not properly credited on the song.
The suit was filed by brothers Justin and Jeremiah Raisen, and Justin “Yves” Rothman, who claim “Truth Hurts” emerged from a writing session with Lizzo and Jesse Saint John that produced a song called “Healthy.” They allege that “Healthy” contained elements that later appeared in “Truth Hurts,” including the memorable line, “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100 percent that bitch.

Vin Diesel has never been a man of many words, which may have been part of the reason that Marvel Studios hired him to voice the linguistically-limited flora colossi Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. A man of action, he’d much rather ski-jump down the side of a radio tower, trade blows in a desiccated warehouse with WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson, or battle nocturnal bioraptors on the arid planes of planet M6-117 during a total eclipse.
When he saw the first trailer for the latest installment of his high-octane street-racing-turned-spy-fi Fast Saga, for instance, Diesel “was just speechless,” and now that the four-minute promo for Fast & Furious 9 has accrued more than half-a-billion views, the actor once again finds himself at a loss for words:

Ever since breaking away from its roots as a series of popcorn flicks about illegal street racing, Universal Pictures’ Fast Saga has been stacking its roster with increasingly big-name actors. In a recent interview with MTV International while promoting the franchise’s latest installment, F9, perennial wheelman Vin Diesel indicated that the marquee actor he dreams of adding to the Saga‘s credits for the next outing, Fast & Furious 10, is Academy Award winner Dame Judi Dench.
The choice may seem an unexpected one, but Diesel did work with Dench on his 2004 project The Chronicles of Riddick, in which she played the air elemental Aereon. Beyond their professional connection, Dench also possesses a solid pedigree in spy-fi cinema, having played M across seven James Bond films beginning with Pierce Brosnan’s 1995 GoldenEye and culminating with Daniel Craig’s 2012 Skyfall, in which the then-78-year-old Commander of the Order of...
