Jude Anthany Joseph, director of India’s international feature Oscar contender “2018,” has started work on his next film.
The untitled investigative thriller is being written by the filmmaker alongside journalist Josy Joseph. Koffee with Karan Season Eight began with a bang, and it generated a lot of positive and negative reactions on social media that focused on Ranveer and Deepika’s relationship dynamics. Discourse is necessary in a country like ours, but moving on to the next episode is the best thing to do to get over all the white noise around the last one.
The second episode had two of the most subdued guests, who have been known for delivering both hit and flop films spanning decades. Sunny and Bobby Deol grace the couch for the second time in twenty years. Nothing has changed in the dynamics the brothers share. The feeling of family values they projected two decades ago still resonates in this episode as well. Their career trajectories have gone through various ups and downs, but they retain a strong, dignified stature throughout the show. Sunny Deol and Bobby...

New Delhi, Aug 12 (Ians) The Alliance of Digital India Foundation (Adif) on Saturday hailed Delhi High Court’s decision on Google infringing upon trademark rights, terming it “a significant blow to Google”.
The court issued a directive on Friday, compelling the tech giant to take decisive action against advertisements that infringe upon trademark rights.
“This development is set against the backdrop of a trademark infringement case filed by Drs Logistics, where the company raised concerns about competitors using its trademark ‘Agarwal Movers and Packers’ as keywords in Google searches. This practice allegedly led to the prominent display of competitors’ websites in search results for the trademark,” said the Adif.
Before 2004, Google’s trademark usage policy restricted trademarks from being used within a sponsored ad’s text. Google’s policy also restricted using keywords that were protected under a trademark if the owner of that trademark requested it.
“However, Google reduced the restrictions under the policy,...

Anil Sharma, the director of the upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’, is glad that he opted for an authentic approach to fight scenes over VFX for Gadar 2. The film promises an array of larger-than-life action sequences that rely more on genuine stunts over VFX.
The director has rejected claims of the action in his film being old-school and has compared keeping things real like filmmaker Christopher Nolan, who too relies more on practical effects.
Talking about the same, the director explained: “I don’t consider it old-school action. It’s raw action. Look at some of Tom Cruise’s stunts in the ‘Mission Impossible’ series or Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, even in the US, artistes are striving to keep things real and that’s what I wanted to do.”
He further mentioned: “During the making of ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, we meticulously choreographed real-life action scenes to deliver an authentic experience...

When Anil Sharma’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released 22 years ago on the same day as Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan, it was dismissed even before Day 1 as the less appealing film. Lagaan was far more sophisticated and it had Aamir Khan in the lead.
But Gadar with Sunny Deol at his seething summit, went on to become a bigger success than Lagaan in spite of all odds.
22 years later as it comes to us with enhanced sound and visual quality it is not difficult to see why Gadar scored over Lagaan. It is a persuasively dramatic film filled with sound and fury signifying many deeprooted links between the cinema of nationalism and the excitable public.
