The Wire actor Lance Reddick‘s lawyer has disputed the findings of his death certificate.
Reddick, whose credits also included the TV shows Fringe and Bosch, as well as the John Wick film franchise, died suddenly on 19 March. He was 60.
According to Reddick’s death certificate, which was obtained by TMZ, he died of ischemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.
However, Reddick’s lawyer, speaking on behalf of his family, said the conclusions drawn by the autopsy do not make sense as Reddick was “the most physically fit person I’ve ever known”.
James Hornstein said Reddick worked out daily at home and had a strict diet, adding that when he was away for work, he requested “the availability of gym facilities” as part of his “contractual requirement”.
Hornstein added: “The information appearing on the death certificate is wholly inconsistent with his lifestyle.

Channel 5 has explained why it suddenly dropped Challenge Anneka after just two episodes.
Last month, Rice revealed that the reboot of her show, which first aired in 1989, had been pulled from programming schedules.
The move comes after episode two, which was broadcast on Saturday (25 March), attracted less than one million viewers.
At the time, a spokesperson for Channel 5 said: “The first episode of Challenge Anneka was enjoyed by 1.25 million viewers, but Saturday evenings are always highly competitive, especially at this time of year.
“The public and critical reaction to Challenge Anneka’s return has been amazing and we have decided to preserve the remaining two shows and reschedule them soon.”
Following this, Rice shared her “thanks” to viewers who had tuned in, explaining: “We always knew we were on a ‘floating schedule’ so might be bumped off at any moment. We’ll keep you posted.

Russell Crowe has addressed the rumours he will be in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel.
The new film, focusing on Lucius, the son of Maximus’s lover Lucilla (played by Connie Nielsen in the 2000 original), is set to be released in 2024.
Movie fans have been wondering whether Crowe, who played Maximus, will appear in some way in the film. As he dies in the original, it has been theorised that he could show up in a flashback.
“I think when they’re shooting in the colosseum and stuff, I’ll be lying like 6ft underground,” Crowe quipped via video call on this Saturday’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show (1 April), adding: “You won’t see me, but I’ll be there beneath the ground.”
Crowe then conclusively said he is “not involved” in the film – and that he has barely even spoken to Scott about the project despite recently meeting up with him.

Joe Lycett has sent former prime minister Liz Truss a personal (tongue-in-cheek) invitation to “speak her mind” on his new talk show.
In a full-page advertisement printed in the MP’s regional newspaper of South West Norfolk, the Eastern Daily Press, the comedian asked for Truss “to join” his forthcoming Channel 4 talk series Late Night Lycett.
Posting the open letter on Twitter, Lycett’s advert begins: “Babe!!! I hope you’re not too surprised to see my popping my head out from between the sheets (of your local regional newspaper tehe)!!.”
Jokingly identifying himself as “rightwing comedian and passionate Lizz Truss supporter Joe Lycett,” the comedian continued: “You’ll remember me from when we met last year on the TV show of our mutual friend Laura Kuenssberg.”

It’s been eight years since Taskmaster first started – and series 15 has arrived just months after the previous ended.
Returning to host proceedings are Greg Davies and Alex Horne, and joining them for the latest iteration is a bunch of comedians who could well provide the comedy show with its best line-up in a while.
Heading up the contestants for series 15 is Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle.
Boyle’s appearance on the show comes days after it was announced that the BBC had cancelled his series New World Order – something he said “didn’t come as a surprise”.
A BBC spokesperson commented: “We would like to thank Frankie Boyle and all those involved for six great series of New World Order.”
The corporation also made it clear that they are not severing ties with Boyle, adding: “We look forward to seeing what he does next on the BBC.”

Taron Egerton has expressed his strong disdain for wearing fake moustaches, going so far as to compare the “horrendous” experience to childbirth.
The 33-year-old Welsh actor stars as real-life videogame designer Henk Rogers in Apple TV Plus’ new movie Tetris – released on Friday (31 March) – which tells the story of how the Russian video game made its way to the West.
To accurately portray a young Rogers, Egerton was made to wear a fake moustache throughout the film.
“It’s absolutely horrendous, I will never do it ever again, it doesn’t matter how much you pay me. Don’t let me wear a fake moustache ever again,” the Kingsman: The Secret Service actor pleaded during an appearance on Good Morning Britain’s Thursday (30 March) episode.
Recalling that he had sported one years ago in 2016’s sports drama Eddie the Eagle, Egerton explained: “I wore that for part of the movie,...

Last week, radio presenter Jay Brody alleged on social media that he had been working in security on the set of 2008 comedy The Love Guru.
Brody claimed that he was warned that “if you look at him, you’re going to get fired”, and was later fired after he “caught his eye for a second”.

Brody initially shared his claims in response to a viral video that showed Keanu Reeves moving production equipment while on the set of John Wick: Chapter 4.

HBO has clarified why House of the Dragon is losing two episodes in season two.
The Game of Thrones prequel, set almost 200 years before the events of the original series, was commissioned for a follow-up season shortly after its successful debut in 2021.
It’s reported that, at the time, the plan was for it to run for 10 episodes, but that it will now be just eight episodes long.
The change comes after a leadershap shake-up at Warner Bros Discovery, which is HBO’s parent company, leading many to assume the decision was due to cutting costs.
But HBO combatted this notion while confirming the eight-episode count, telling Deadline that the shorter run was “story-driven”.
This comes as showrunner Ryan Condal and his team of producers prepare to shoot the second season in the UK ahead of a summer 2024 release. It’s being reported that Condal and George Rr Martin, who...

Hugh Grant has discussed how the atmosphere on film sets has changed considerably since he was starting out, because of the presence of mobile phones in people’s lives.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (27 March), the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves star said he feels that film sets are “weird” because people aren’t as close as they used to be.
“You know, in the old days, by the end of the second week, you were all getting drunk in the evening and having dinner and falling in love with each other and all that,” he told Colbert.
“And all that stopped because of telephones. Really everyone goes home and looks at Twitter. It’s so sad.”

Lorraine Kelly has opened up about the advice she received from actor and comedian Billy Connolly that helped her combat impostor syndrome.
The Scottish broadcaster has hosted her own weekday morning programme on ITV since the early Nineties.
Lorraine, as it has been known since 2010, sees Kelly discussing the main stories from the morning’s newspapers, as well as segments for fashion, health and entertainment.
Despite her success, the presenter has admitted to feeling an element of impostor syndrome in her career.
In a new interview with Prima, Kelly spoke about how coming from working-class beginnings contributed to a feeling of insecurity in professional settings.
“Coming from a working-class background, I can get impostor syndrome,” she explained.
According to her, Connolly, a fellow Scot, told her the importance of moving past this feeling.
“I’ll ask myself, ‘Am I really good enough to be here?’ Billy Connolly once told me...

“Blindspot,” which is produced by Clapperboard and set to air on U.K. public service broadcaster Channel 5 later this year, tells the story of Hannah, a disabled woman (played by Beth Alsbury) who sees a man and a woman walking to a low visibility area before the man emerges alone. From horror in the Americas to FrightFest’s foray into spatial horror with Luke Hyams’ moorish horror X Moor and Adam Spinks’ Amazonian adventure Extinction/The Expedition. From hunting a fabled beast on the moors to being the hunted in the jungle, these two British films took the FrightFest audience from open to dense terrain for two different kinds of hunts.
In a three part interview feature we spoke with X Moor’s lead actors Mark Bonnar, Melia Kreiling and Nick Blood as well as director Luke Hyams, along with the writer and star of Extinction/The Expedition Ben Loyd-Holmes on being the hunter versus the hunted in beastial horror.
Luke Hyams continues the feature as he reflects on the cold harsh reality of helming a film on the moors of Northern Ireland, as well as making a path for oneself to cross the landscape of British film.
