Best flying scenes ever
RANDYCOP29 April 2001
No other movie portrays what it is like to fly formation in a high speed military jet. This movie is REAL! Great cockpit shots that were not faked like other movies. This movie really needs to be updated for the modern era of fighter jets. Didn't care for the soundtrack however. This is a must see movie for pilots and those interested in what it takes to fly fighters and to be a Blue Angel.

Great Sound and Visuals - the Real thing
gunnyjack9 September 2009
LtCol. Omara was my CO. When the squadron deployed to Japan, he showed his original #1 copy of the movie to us in the base theater. For those of us in the audience being in a Marine F-4 squadron, it gave us a new appreciation of our CO. I have a video cassette of the movie. it is good, but it does not do the movie justice as the theater version did. The sounds and visuals are so real and familiar to those in the F-4 community, it was if we could smell the jet exhaust. It is my favorite jet movie for obvious reasons. When you watch this movie, the sound has to up and a large screen is a must. The small TV screen does not do it justice. Semper Fi Colonel.

Some of the best cockpit shots I've ever seen
callaway-226 September 1999
The photography in the movie is stunning! Camera's mounted in the cockpit of the Blue Angels F-4s, under the belly, behind the cockpit and on the ground give you a view of an airshow team that you can't get anywhere else. Narration by Leslie Nielson written by Frank Herbert ("Dune") also well done. If anyone knows where I could get a copy, I'd appreciate an email.
