This was an actuality film filmed by pilot Robert G. Fowler and his cameraman Ray Duhem. They made the first trans-Panama Isthmus flight in an aeroplane. They filmed parts of the Panama Canal then nearing completion but still under construction. They used a Fowler-Gage tractor biplane to make the flight. This plane still exists and was donated by Robert Fowler to the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum. It is on display at the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Annex, Chantilly Virginia.
