Hallmark Channel’s new series The Way Home doesn’t hold back when it comes to ‘90s nostalgia. In the multi-generational family drama, a present-day teen named Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) discovers that she has the ability to time-travel back to the late 1990s, when her mother Kat (played by Chyler Leigh as an adult and Alex Hook as a teen) was in high school. Aside from the era-appropriate fashion and nods to dial-up internet and movies like The Blair Witch Project, the show also references the decade in its episode titles.

We’re only partway through the first season of The Way Home, but the show is making its commitment to the ‘90s theme clear in its episode titles. Three of the four episodes that have aired so far reference popular songs from the late 1990s.

Whether it’s the Devil sitting down at the piano in his penthouse or Lilith belting out a tune in a 1940’s club, music has always played an integral role in the Lucifer gestalt. With a full blown musical episode planned for the second half of season five, and the noir homage “It Never Ends Well for the Chicken” already in the books, it’s time to reflect on some of the fantastic musical choices showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have made.
Series lead Tom Ellis (Lucifer) has sung on multiple occasions during the show’s five year run, and in an interview with DaMan, he could barely contain his excitement for the upcoming musical episode. “It was by far and away the most fun I have had doing anything on a set ever! Singing and dancing makes me very happy.”
While we wait for the season’s conclusion,...

"I mope around for a little while," says Adele of her post-breakup routine. "I do embrace the fact that I'm heartbroken. I don't move on quickly. I don't know if that's because it seems that I'm only really creative when I'm a bit momentarily depressed." The songs born out of these "momentarily depressed" states are among the most emotionally powerful the pop music canon. As long as the newly single nurse their shattered psyches with endless pints of ice cream, her music will live forever. Adele, 28, is the queen of breakup songs, but what are some tracks that helped her through those ruined relationships?...

Officer And A Gentleman a romcom? The Full Monty a comedy? The Fox And The Hound all cute and cuddly? Er...
A couple of weekends back, three films converged on my eyeballs. I watched the apparent uplifting love story, An Officer And A Gentleman. The Spielbergian family adventure Batteries Not Included. And I caught a bit of Disney's The Fox And The Hound for the first time in a decade or so.
Each of these films, and the others I'm about to discuss, has a reputation of being something warm, cuddly, friendly and easy. But is that the minds of the consensus playing tricks? Because the truth is that there are films that we tend to remember as being one thing, that turn out to be far, far darker. Some of that is down how the film was originally marketed. Some down to how...

Former Laguna Beach and The Hills star Jason Wahler got married in a romantic ceremony in Malibu over the weekend. The handsome reality star got hitched to model Ashley Slack at the Calamigos Ranch. Guests included Dr. Drew Pinsky, who oversaw Jason's sobriety during Celebrity Rehab, Janice Dickinson, Andy Milonakis, and Laguna Beach's Cedric Channels. The newlyweds danced to David Gray's "This Year's Love" before reportedly heading off to Hawaii for a honeymoon. Interestingly enough, Jason's ex-girlfriend Lauren Conrad got engaged to her boyfriend, William Tell, over the same weekend that Jason got hitched. While Lauren wasn't at Jason's wedding, he did say back in 2011 that he is on good terms with his ex-girlfriend.

While falling short of finding true love with Ashley Hebert on last season of The Bachelorette, Ben Flajnik has taken time to regroup and is now ready to find love again as the new Bachelor. Tonight, he starts with 25 prospective women in the hope that one of them will turn out to be his true love. The episode opens with a recap of last season as well as catching us up on what Ben's been up to since then - from the looks of it, a lot of wine drinking, sailing, and wheeling barrels around a warehouse. Fair enough! As he walks through his wine vineyard accompanied by a reflective acoustic guitar track in the background, he again announces that he's ready to find the right person for him. He also seems to have learned how to play David Gray's 'This Year's Love' on the piano.
