Hulu’s hit series Only Murders in the Building returns for its fourth season this month as the crime-solving trio takes a trip from New York City to Los Angeles to solve yet another murder. But just because they’re moving coasts, doesn’t mean that Oliver (Martin Short), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Charles (Steve Martin) can escape the deaths that keep plaguing their apartment building.
We also get to see what happens to the Solar Opposites in the aftermath of the series-changing finale when the full fifth season of the series drops this August.
Here’s everything that’s coming to (and leaving) Hulu in August.

If you’re like me, you spend a lot of August yelling “Summer is over!” to your nearest and dearest — and they don’t take kindly to that. Summer TV is in its twilight, while fall premieres loom on the horizon after the Emmy Awards on September 15.
But summer is not over, and there’s plenty of new titles to stream in the Disney bundle. Disney+ will premiere new Star Wars and “Winnie the Pooh” titles for kids, as well as the original series “Are You Sure?!” following BTS’s Jimin and Jung Kook. Hulu will become home to “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” “The Woman King,” “Smile,” and more movie titles, as well as the home for FX series — this month: “The New York Times Presents: Lie to Fly: Documentary Premiere.” Hulu originals “Solar Opposites” returns on August 12, and “Reasonable Doubt” for its second season starting August...

We might be entering the dog days of summer but Hulu isn’t slowing down. The streamer’s list of new releases for August 2023 is a pretty impressive collection of content.
The biggest Hulu original this month is season 3 of true crime comedy Only Murders in the Building on Aug. 8. This time around Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd are joining the already-stacked cast that features Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. This season’s central murder appears to take place at a theater (outside the building) but I think we’ll let it slide.
That’s far from the only worthwhile original in August as Aug. 2 sees the premiere of the third and final season of superb comedy Reservation Dogs. That will be followed by South Korean sci-fi series Moving on Aug. 9, Solar Opposites season 4 on Aug. 14, and A Murder at the End of the World on Aug. 29. Of course,...

You ever notice how HBO’s releases tend to do the heavy lifting in HBO Max’s content library? That makes plenty of sense given that HBO has a track record of producing hits well before the streaming era even began. Well, a similar concept is now playing out over on Hulu. Like many monthly releases before it, Hulu’s list of new releases for August 2022 is highlighted by a whole bunch of FX TV shows.
The initiative once known as “FX on Hulu” is no more but that’s not stopping the cable network-turned quality TV brand from churning out some intriguing titles for the streaming world this month. It all starts early on with season 2 of the delightful comedy Reservation Dogs on Aug. 3. That is followed up by the docuseries Children of the Underground on Aug. 13, Little Demon on Aug. 26, and The Patient of Aug. 30. The most interesting of the bunch,...

Singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson first came to prominence seven years ago after “Grey’s Anatomy” used her song “Keep Breathing,” followed by Old Navy appropriating “The Way I Am” to sell sweaters during 2007’s holiday season. But fans of those songs who delved deeper found that Michaelson had much more to offer than songs that licensed for TV placements. Her confessional, vulnerable lyrics, delivered by her crystalline vocals quickly caught on with followers of such artists as Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, and Rachael Yamagata. Next Tuesday (April 15), Michaelson will release “Lights Out,” led by the soaring, fun first single, “Girls Chase Boys.” The song caught fire not only for its catchiness, but also for its gender-bending video, which pays homage to Robert Palmer’s “Simply Irresistible” iconic clip. Her last album, 2012's "Human Again," debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Michaelson appeared at the Grammy Museum earlier this...

Fairy peepaws, nosy activists and a human water fountain made this week’s ep a considerable improvement over the premiere.
On some bridge somewhere, a wormhole opens up and Rob Zombie falls out. Sookie (Anna Paquin) stirs in her sleep, her Kindle malfunctioning beside her. Apparently she wasn’t a fan of the Halloween remake either.
Jason‘s (Ryan Kwanten) ice-cream-suited benefactor appears in front of his careening car – full-on Mister Boogedy style, mind you – and saves him. As expected, his blond chauffeur is Not Warlow (of course not – why would he have been referring to himself in the third person last episode?), but in fact Jason’s fairy grandpappy (Rutger Hauer). He was apparently testing J-bird the whole time and homeslice failed miserably.
Over at Fangtasia, Tara (Rutina Wesley) is on the bar writhing in pain and Pam (Kristen Bauer van Straten) tries to comfort her – looks like she’s not healing.

Happy 34th birthday, Sarah Michelle Gellar! Would you like some nostalgia to go along with your cake? Good, because that's exactly what you're about to get.
It's a widely-known fact that we here at Zap2it are huge "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fans, therefore we are also huge Smg fans. The woman can do no wrong in our eyes. Yes, we even sat through "Simply Irresistible" and "Scooby-Doo." Both of them.
While we're extremely excited for Gellar's new pilot for CBS, "Ringer," she'll always be our Buffy. In honor of Gellar's 34th birthday, we've compiled her best "Buffy" moments. Sure, it was tough, but we managed to narrow it down to five.
Here's hoping her birthday is better than all the ones we saw Buffy celebrate. Don't worry, we're 99% sure Freddie Prinze Jr. won't be turning into an evil vampire who kills goldfish anytime soon.
5. "Hush"
Seriously, any "Buffy" fan...

I love Whitney Port’s unexpected summertime look, here’s how you can get it too!
Whitney Port looked perfectly punk rock at the Elle magazine Women In Music issue celebration on June 9 in New York City. “I love this look as an alternative to the more obvious rocker look of black smudgy eyes,” says celebrity makeup artist Amy Nadine Rosenberg who created Whitney’s look for the night. “A vamp lip gives you an edge but by pairing it with a soft, golden eye, you make it pretty enough for summer,” Amy explains. “For a little extra drama, I added a hard contoured cheek like the Robert Palmer video girls from ‘Simply Irresistible,’” she says.
To copy Whitney’s look, start with the Dior 2-Colour Eyeshadow in Nude Look. “Use the gold shimmer shade all over your lid and crease,” Amy says. “Then, use the darker bronze...

Britain's Princess Diana reportedly had an affair with Robert Palmer. The princess - who died alongside her lover Dodi Al Fayed in a Paris car crash in 1997 - allegedly had a fling with the late singer, which is thought to have inspired his 1988 hit 'Simply Irresistible'. A friend of Robert - who died in Paris in 2003 of a sudden heart attack - posted comments on a website, which has since been removed, claiming Diana was very much "in love" with the star. The friend wrote on iamundercover.com: "It was an extramarital affair that could have hurt a lot of people. Diana was in love with Robert and wanted to spend every second with him. "The affair was...

Robert Palmer—not to be confused with the “Simply Irresistible” guy—was one of rock writing’s true giants. Palmer, who died at age 52 in 1997, was a clarinetist and saxophonist (he played with Ornette Coleman and Bono, among others) and ethnomusicology professor for the University of Mississippi. He was also a journalist, a historian, the first rock critic for The New York Times (from 1981 to 1988), and the consultant for PBS’ 1995 TV special Rock & Roll. He wrote about rock’s roots—going back through the blues to slave songs and African chants—with an easy precision ...

Like many, I came to know and love The Boondock Saints through DVD (and now Blu-ray.) Browsing through my local DVD retailer, I checked out their new releases and saw the film for a reasonable price. This was also at a time I had decided I wanted to be a filmmaker so I was interested in seeing obscure, off-beat films. So I purchased the flick, went home, and was instantly assaulted by all of it’s awesome. From the unrelenting action to Willem Dafoe’s outlandish performance, I was thoroughly entertained by what Troy Duffy had delivered and eagerly anticipated the sequel, which by this point in time was still rumored.
Well here we are, ten years after the first film debuted and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is upon us. While it’s been playing New York and L.A., everyone else gets it this weekend. When...
