Just before the credits start, we see a glass shard that contains Garlic JR. and he is banging on the shard, trying to get out (Garlic JR. eventually does escape the dead zone).
Pioneer dubbed the movie with Ocean Group for home video in 1997, keeping the original Japanese opening "Cha-La Head-Cha-La", unlike with the concurrent dub of the TV series being made by Saban Entertainment and Ocean Group, which had an new opening by Jeremy Sweet called "Rock the Dragon".
When Cartoon Network aired the Pioneer dub, they replaced "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" with "Rock the Dragon". Their version of the dub also has a 1998 copyright date in the credits, which reflects the year that the dub aired on Cartoon Network, rather than the year that it was recorded.
