Botched ripoff
A very poorly made takeoff on the famous Anne Rice vampire movie, it has good casting and performances and that's all.
I was shocked, not by the horror or violence but by the technical inadequacy. Every dialogue scene is drowned out by loud music, so it is impossible to figure out what is going on beyond the obvious (i.e., sex and biting).
Let's blame the director, one "Justin Case", whose claim to fame is being the husband of the leading lady Alex Jordan. She died not long after this clunker was shot, ruled a suicide but perhaps the result of foul play. Sounds more interesting a story than this movie.
Set in the Old South, it has some okay period costuming. Tiffany Mynx is fine in the Brad Pitt role, turned into a vampire by Alex Jordan's bite, Alex in the Tom Cruise role. The interviewer is played by Dave Hardman, in the Christian Slater role.
An early victim of the two female vamps is played by Ian Daniels, who with his shoulder length hair looks a lot like Brad Pitt -confusing in context since he's NOT playing the Brad Pitt role. Asia Carrera highlights the supporting cast, in a group-sex scene later on.
All of this casting goes for nought due to that loud, irritating musical score drowning out everything. Another example of porno crap, released by Anabolic Video, a purveyor of gonzo sex, not story-oriented porn.
