The only reason why they used Tex Avery's name for the series was because his daughter needed the money to send her kids to college.
The creator Robby London describes the show as "homage to the brilliant, hilarious and groundbreaking animator Tex Avery and the wonderful squash-and-stretch cartoons of his era".
