Finnnish musical comedy- with romance
Petey-1024 August 2011
Dr. Kalle Lehmus falls for a dancer called Kaarina Tuomo in Ossi Elstelä's Vain laulajapoikia (1951).Its writer is Toivo Kauppinen.William Markus and Pirkko Niemelä (in her solo movie) make a fine pair.Henry Theel's singing is nice to listen to.Siiri Angerkoski is quite fantastic as Siiri Palmu.Lasse Pöysti gives another great performance, this time playing Dr. Syrjä.Director Elstelä plays King of Revue.Rakel Laakso plays Matilda.Arvo Lehesmaa is Penna Lehmus.Kauko Käyhkö is Säestäjä.Laila Rihte portrays Sairaanhoitaja. Also late singer Erkki Junkkarinen is seen in the movie.I found myself quite amused when Henry Theel sang with his little girl's voice, while Siiri Angerkoski was heard with a gruff man's voice. And there's something else you might enjoy in this movie.
