The movie was shot in a studio situated above a taxi garage and a bell system had to be rung when they wanted to do a take so that the cabs wouldn't be heard on screen.
The story of Beryl Formby removing Betty Driver's song from the film is untrue. Only the re-release edited Driver out. This was because the film was issued in a cut-down version to cash in on Formby's success in the bigger-budget ATP pictures.
The first film made by a long forgotten film company, Blakeley Films, which seemed to
concentrate mainly on comedies until their last few in the early 60's.
