"Infamous" Greek film is actually pretty darn tame
gridoon202416 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Reportedly this is a highly-sought-after piece of "cult" Greek erotic cinema, and some people are willing to pay good money to get a copy, but having checked out two versions of it (a "soft" 88-minute one and a "harder-but-still-pretty-soft" 78-minute one which extends the love scenes and cuts out some of the plot), I just have to say....don't be duped. The film is hardly scandalous - in both versions, it's borderline PG-13 by today's standards! The storyline is familiar, and the young man is such a blank on the screen that very little heat is generated between him and Anna Fonsou. See it only if you can somehow find it cheap, otherwise don't bother. ** out of 4.

Very slow paced, low budget, '70s porn
rahulyeasir2 June 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Aged painter lives in a beautiful island with younger woman. His son (not from this lady) comes visiting him. Son and mistress develops a relationship - slowly building tension, nightly adventures, and ultimately sex. The stealthy part is interesting. But father discovers the affair. and paints imaginary pictures, with the two lovers on horseback (she was a rider).

If you like the '70s porn, then it is a good one. Making is quite poor. But shot in a really sunny Greek island, and mostly outdoors; no sets. The girl, a lady in her mid-30s, is appealing and indeed sexy. The boy looks younger. An outdoor bathing scene of the girl is memorable.

The father kills the son at the end.

Actually, I'm writing this comments almost eight years after watching the movie. So some details may escape me.

Two lovers, a Horse and a painter in the hippy Greek country side of the 70s
nospam-47822 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
The general story is that, Anna Fonsou in on vacation in a by-the-sea-house with her much older husband? (Yannis Argyris). He is a painter having lost his inspiration.

His son (Christo Spyropoulos), traveling with some hippies, comes for a visit, and after a while has a stormy affair with Anna Fonsou. There are several love scenes (on the vineyards, on the beach etc). Especially, there are two scenes by the beach where they are naked riding a horse.

Yannis Argiris sees them with the horse and strangely regains his lost inspiration. He starts painting again, keeping his paintings hidden. When Anna discovers that the paintings depict her, her lover and the horse, se decides to leave him.

Then Yannis Argitis picks up his hunting shot-gun and things turn out bad.

Shot during the summer, mostly outdoors, depicts a hippy and groovy kind of Greece from the 70s.

The film has even a soundtrack (the main song, which you can hear throughout the entire film is sung by Elpida Karali)
