Christian Bale was originally cast as Nathan back in 1992. His portrayal of Nathan can be found in the special features section of the Special Edition DVD under the title, "First 12 Minutes of Original Godmoney Filming Attempt", and Bale is given a special thanks in the film's end credits.
The man who comes home while, Nathen is robbing the house, is played by Director Darren Doane's father, Bill Doane. The scene is also filmed in and around Bill Doane's house.
Actor Rick Rodney plays in a Hardcore Straight Edge band called "Strife" who does the main theme song from the movie.
Jason Thirsk, to whom the film is dedicated in the memory of, was the former bassist and co-founder of the California punk band Pennywise who also appears on the films soundtrack.
Godmoney first went into production in 1992, with Christian Bale cast in the lead role, but production ceased after funding for the film ran out three days into filming. The film was consequently abandoned until 5 years later, the footage featuring Bale's portrayal as Nathan would later appear in the special features section of the Special Edition DVD release under the title "First 12 Minutes of Original Godmoney Filming Attempt".
