- There is no reason at all to prevent mature enough children to watch it. Most people, regardless of age, has little to no interest in an austrian drama. Therefore, film for everyone. Remake is a 14/15+ though.
- A man is shot in the stomach (lots of blood splatter).
- A few offscreen shootings with only the gun shot being heard. Dead bodies of a man and boy are shown.
- A man is struck in the leg with a golf club. The same man gets slapped in the leg later on.
- We hear a dog being killed offscreen, probably with a gold club. A character is later playing a "Hot, Cold" searching game to find its dead body.
- A bound woman is thrown overboard into a lake to die.
- A young boy is tormented by having a pillowcase placed over his head. Not violent, just intimidating.
- A woman is shown in long extended sequences bound and gagged. She is also bloody bruised, same to her husband.
- A girl is shown dead and it is implied that the main antagonists killed her.
- Not much is shown though, so there are no explicit scenes other than the gun scene. Although, the stress that the main characters go through, is frightening and intense.

- Most of the scenes are tense, and the film shows that cinema doesn't need violence to be frightening
- A lot of yelling, threats, and violent behaviour when it starts. It takes about 20-30 minutes before anything really happens.
