Charming and amusing

Thorsten (Bernd Michael Lade) is an innocent farm boy from rural north Germany; Sabine (Christiane Paul) is a prostitute from the notorious St. Pauli red-light district of Hamburg. They meet up when they're both trying to dispose of corpses: Thorsten accidentally shot a woman his first time hunting; Sabine accidentally caused her pimp Günther's car to fall on top of him while he was fixing it. The movie could have gone the way of "The Trouble with Harry" or "Weekend at Bernie's", but fortunately it didn't. This isn't a comedy about disposing of corpses; it's a romantic comedy (even a fairy tale) about two people who couldn't be more different falling in love. The feel-good ending is predictable, but they always are in romantic comedies. The only drawback is that there just wasn't much chemistry between Lade and Paul. I never got the feeling they were falling in love with each other until they merely uttered the words.
