This great movie, directed by Martin Scorsese, sees Mafia associate Sam “Ace” Rothstein (Robert De Niro) become boss of the Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas. The movie depicts the unscrupulous side of casinos as they were way back when, no scene more so than the card-counting Blackjack player who, after trying to cheat the casino, ends up getting his fingers broken with a hammer.
