A horror comedy that parodied everything from The X-Files to Godzilla movies, Stan Against Evil will not be returning for a fourth season on IFC, as the show's creator, Dana Gould, has confirmed that the series has been cancelled.
On the recent episode of his podcast The Dana Gould Hour (via Bloody Disgusting), Gould made the following statement regarding the current status of Stan Against Evil:
“Stan Against Evil, I am sad to report, will not be returning for a fourth season. It had a great run of three seasons. It’s not coming back. Will it show up in some other form on some other network someday? Maybe. But right now, as we like to say, it’s dead as Kelsey’s nuts.”
Premiering on Halloween night in 2016, Stan Against Evil ran for three seasons on IFC for a total of 24 episodes. The series' core cast included John C. McGinley,...

Horror and sci-fi author Dean Koontz is becoming a hot property in Hollywood it seems. With a film adaptation of "Odd Thomas" in production, now comes word of another Koontz property getting adapted - for cable television.
The Starz network ("Spartacus," "Camelot") is set to produce an original limited series adaptation of Koontz' 1985 novel "Twilight Eyes" reports Deadline.
The story follows a man named Slim MacKenzie, who uses his psychic powers to hunt Goblins - monsters that have the ability to mimic human beings.
Scribe Stephen Tolkin, who adapted the Koontz novels "Intensity" and "Mr. Murder" into late 90's telemovies, has teamed with Koontz' former agent Rob Lee on the project.
The aim is to do a small series run, around 6-8 episodes, and by doing it on premium cable it allows them to keep the book's strong violence and sensuality intact. One change however is that the 1970's setting...

Deadline is reporting that Starz may be ready to roll out its first original limited series, an adaptation of Dean Koontz' 1985 novel "Twilight Eyes." The project, which centers on Slim MacKenzie, who uses his psychic powers, aka Twilight Eyes, to hunt Goblins -- monsters that have the ability to mimic human beings -- is in high-priority development. Koontz's former agent Rob Lee, now head of his own production company Bayonne Entertainment, is co-adapting with writer Stephen Tolkin, who had adapted two Koontz novels as TV movies, 1997's "Intensity" and 1998's "Mr. Murder." While the events in the book take place even before the 1980s, the adaptation will be set in present day. On the feature side, an adaptation of Koontz's Old Thomas written and to be directed by Stephen Sommers, is in pre-production with Tim Robbins, William Dafoe and Anton Yelchin starring.

Let's get this out of the way immediately ... this has Nothing to do with The Twilight Saga or any type of otherworldly creatures who shimmer when they shouldn't! We're talking some good old fashioned Koontz style horror here, kids!

Exclusive: Back when Chris Albrecht took the reins of Starz as CEO more than a year ago, he said that the programming focus of the pay cable network will be on original series and big event miniseries/limited series. Given man's unwavering fascination with woman, it's no surprise that the female star acts as the anchor to a dominant portion of horror pictures. I mean really, who wants to see a bare chested man tearin ass through the woods screaming at the top of his lungs while a bladed assailant nips at his heels? I don't - I know that much, although I'm certain there are plenty of men who would disagree (and that's okay with me, to each his own!). The simple fact remains however, women bring a unique appeal and certain sensual atmosphere to film that no man ever could. And it's not all about gratuitous T&A.
There's a comforting quality in the hands of the heroine; a fascinating maternal strength that, as a man I cannot genuinely relate to. I can however admire, and in many cases it's nearly impossible to not admire the lone...
