Never never underestimate an Austrian police officer!
Turan23 August 2001
The mini series is about an Austrian police officer who is frequently underestimated and nobody believes that somebody like him will solve the case.

Too bad for the criminals: he is not one who will ever give up and if he does not know what to do, he asks his wife, a dentist, to help him.

His success score is 100 per cent, as with all policemen in TV.

If it is ever shown outside Germany and Austria, don't miss it!

Stockinger ... The Best of Kommisar Rex
carsten-bender20 January 2005
In my assumption on of the best spin-offs from a TV series ever made. Taking the most interesting character from famous TV detective story "Kommisar Rex" it give the excellent Austrian actor Karl Markovics the room to develop a humorous character. Markovics is supported by the complementary characters of Antonella Simoni (Sandra Cervik) trying to play a tough police officer, Dr. Brunner (Hans-Peter Heinzl) providing worldly wisdom and Michael Fuchs (Herbert Fox) as police sergeant. Nothing in case you like action based TV shows, but another highlight of the "Austrian Style of Detectives".

Unfortunately for the audience Karl Markovics decides to concentrate on theater work ending a great series at the peak level.
