Timeless returns tonight with a new episode, and showrunner Eric Kripke has already been actively tweeting his excitement about the return.
Of course, he has a lot more to tweet about than new installments of his latest series.
He's also blending his love of Supernatural with that of Timeless by announcing Misha Collins will be playing Eliot Ness on Timeless Season 1 Episode 15.
The episode will be fittingly titled "Public Enemy No. 1" and will feature Flynn traveling to 1931 Chicago to pair up with gangster Al Capone.
Our time traveling trio of heroes will partner up with the only man who can bring down Capone, federal agent Eliot Ness.
“When the Eliot Ness character first came up, I immediately thought of Misha, and I’m so thrilled to be working with him again,” Kripke said in a statement.
“Misha brings his charisma, his talent, and frankly, all of his angelic qualities to the role.

“A Bullet for Joey” (1955) with Edward G. Robinson, George Raft and Audrey Totter is one of those “Red scare” movies from the mid-fifties that combines elements of a crime plot with espionage and the evils of communism. It was the Cold War era and people were digging bomb shelters and practicing “duck and cover” air raid drills, while at the same time, congressional committees hauled in suspected Communist Party members, including actors, writers and directors, to testify and name names. Hollywood did its part, in turn, by black listing suspected commies and turning out anti-communism films like John Wayne’s “Big Jim McClain” “The Woman on Pier 13 (“I Married a Communist”), and “I Was a Communist for the FBI.” “A Bullet for Joey”, despite having two of Hollywood’s toughest tough guy actors in the cast, is one of the weaker examples of this sub-genre.

"Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth." -- Louis (Danny Aiello) in "Jacob's Ladder" I first viewed "Jacob's Ladder" on VHS several years after its release in theaters, when it received a lukewarm response from audiences (it grossed around $26 million by the end of its run) and received a polarizing response from critics: Roger Ebert called it "powerfully written, directed and acted" while The Washington Post's Hal Hinson charged it with being "garbled and cliched." My initial reaction to...

There are two sides to every conflict, and within each are intricacies and viewpoints that can cause either faction to erupt if the scales are tipped. The stakes for such a quarrel have rarely been higher than in the Cold War, a battle consisting of dueling ideologies rather than all-out warfare, one where a single word or gesture from a side could have unimaginable ripple effects. Despite the eventual outcome being apparent, Steven Spielberg rightfully found this sort of articulated combat to be ripe for drama in his latest film, Bridge of Spies.

There’s a good idea floating around somewhere inside Escobar: Paradise Lost. This thriller, about a young Canadian surfer who finds himself tight with infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, starts before Escobar had become Public Enemy No. 1 in his own country, back when he was a popular politician. Marilyn Manson: still going after all these years. He may not be the cultural force he once was, but the media-dubbed "shock rocker" has remained strikingly prolific during his 20-plus years on the scene, with his ninth studio album (!) "The Pale Emperor" now eyeing a Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. And guess what? It's actually racked up some pretty decent reviews. While he may never recapture his status as conservative America's Public Enemy No. 1, Manson's body of work contains a stunning number of killer singles, from his early days as a South Florida upstart to his rather less-vaunted (but still occasionally effective) post-"Mechanical Animals" career. Before Thursday’s episode of Big Brother even began, I knew how I was going to start this recap.
I was going to talk about how dull this season has been, how the Detonators have easily steamrolled over their fellow houseguests all summer and how we all know Derrick is going to win this thing, unless something major happens in the next couple of weeks.
And while Thursday’s double eviction episode didn’t flip the script that much, it certainly did bring one houseguest’s journey to an unexpected end.

Yes, yes, Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con preview issue that comes out on Friday is going to have a bunch about Avengers: Age of Ultron, a movie we're getting a lot of peeks at considering how far off it is from debuting. But, there's only one San Diego Comic Con between here and there, so let's spin up the hype machine for the sequel to America's groundbreaking superhero franchise imperialism.
The Avengers chill in The Avengers mansion for the party sequence where they all try to lift Thor's Hammer
The party scene where they all try to pick up Thor's hammer is pictured plus the first good look at Black Widow's electric "stingers."
I like the look of the film, for sure. The increased use of the color red and maroon hues throughout the design makes me think it's a visual note to how Tony Stark's Iron Man has invaded this whole universe.

Entertainment Weekly has premiered the cover for their upcoming Comic Con 2014 preview issue and it offers the first official look at Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron flanked by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America. The EW article accompanying the reveal says: For better or worse (trust us, it's worse), his Tony Stark has devised a plan that won't require him to put on the Iron Man suit anymore, and should allow Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk to get some much needed R&R as well. His solution is Ultron, self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark's Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers instead. The only problemc Ultron (played by James Spader through performance-capture technology) lacks the human touch, and his superior intellect quickly determines that life on Earth would...

On Monday’s installment of Under the Dome, the CBS drama revisited a question that’s not addressed nearly as often as it should be: When will Chester’s Mill run out of resources?
The town has suffered a water shortage and an energy crisis in the past two weeks — because, yes, the dome has only been down for two weeks — and this time around, the big worry was a shrinking food supply.
Cue the town’s butterfly population laying countless eggs, producing caterpillars that chow down on every crop they can find. And, of course, Angie’s murderer is still roaming Chester’s Mill,...

On Saturday, drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán was captured in a near-seamless operation (reports say not a single shot was fired during the bust) in the Mexican resort city of Mazatlán, where the 59-year-old wanted man was allegedly enjoying some fun in the sun.
Guzman — one of the world’s richest outlaws and the head of a drug cartel responsible for a reported 25 percent of all illegal drugs brought into the United States via Mexico — had evaded capture for years. That is, unless you count a brief imprisonment in 2001, which ended when El Chapo — translated, the nickname means “Shorty...

It may have seemed like a silly prank at the time, but it definitely doesn’t now. A new report claims that the authorities are not overlooking Justin’s neighborly egging, and that if they have their way, the troublemaking singer will be charged with a felony.
This isn’t the first time Justin Bieber has been Public Enemy No. 1 in his Calabasas neighborhood — there was the speeding, the alleged spitting, the battery allegations — but after the singer was allegedly caught on video egging his neighbor’s house on Jan. 9, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department believes that they finally have a legitimate chance to take Justin down.

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom was the toughest ticket to get in the very few theaters it played last holiday weekend, when it averaged more per-screen than Catching Fire and Frozen. With the film set to expand nationwide on Christmas, a new featurette titled “Mandela: The Leader You Know, The Man You Didn’t” aims to reintroduce the man behind the legend, as well as promote Idris Elba’s candidacy for acting accolades.

"Shall we begin?" Idris Elba as Nelson Mandela asks in the first trailer for "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom." As it turns out, marketing for the Weinstein Company release already began last week, when an international teaser for the Oscar hopeful debuted online. That clip showed precious little in the way of Elba, though it did feature his uncanny vocal impersonation of the South African leader; the "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" trailer that debuted on Thursday provides interested parties a whole lot more in the way of Elba and the film's story.
Based on an original screenplay by William Nicholson and directed by Justin Chadwick, "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" focuses on Mandela's younger days. "Public Enemy No. 1," "Hunted By Police," "Feared By The Government" read title cards in the beginning of the clip, before words like "Liberator" and "Revolutionary" flash across the screen. ★★★★☆ Jostling for UK box office attention this week alongside Steven Spielberg's awards magnet Lincoln (2012), Kathryn Bigelow's divisive drama Zero Dark Thirty (2012) shares comparable megalomanic concern. In place of the iconic American slavery abolisher is Jessica Chastain's CIA 'killer' Maya, conscripted into the War on Terror to find and neutralise Public Enemy No. 1, Osama bin Laden. Released amidst a blizzard of controversy attaining to its stance on state-sanctioned torture, Bigelow has followed up her Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker (2008) with a more drawn, though arguably equally crafted portrayal of obsession and sacrifice.

Part of the Tony Scott: A Moving Target critical project. Go here for the project's description, index and links to project's other movement.
To the overabundance of text, sounds, images—and moving images—in Tony Scott, we reply with something like our own. So let me (try to) keep this (almost as) short as a Tony Scott shot. Scott’s death this past summer would elicit film critics’ own counterpart to American politics: opinions and generalizations bandied between two camps who were, as always, preaching to their respective choirs. And needless to say, such discourses would be about as useful, informative, and interesting as American politics. For Scott’s work was hardly encamped: the outward liberalism of Enemy of the State, perhaps Hollywood’s most overt attack on our surveillance nation and the Nsa, possible only before 9/11, concludes that only Nsa aspirants can take down the Nsa, just as Man on Fire,...

Between the two projects, there is also a noteworthy role reversal: Hackman exchanges the mantle of Captain Ramsey’s blindly nationalistic aggressor for that of the justifiably paranoid super-hacker, Brill. The last time Ewan McGregor agreed to mentor a young protégé on screen, he gave birth to Darth Vader . arguably the meanest villain in silver-screen history. He.ll try to mentor yet another .kid. in an upcoming film, but it.s more of a heist than a sci-fi prequel, so our galaxy should be safe (for the time being). McGregor has agreed to star in Son of a Gun, an Australian indie that casts the one-time Jedi as a veteran criminal . Public Enemy No. 1 for the Land Down Under . who takes a younger criminal under his wing. Variety says that Gun will mark the directorial debut of Julius Avery, who earned recognition for his short film Jerrycan, a Jury Prize winner at the Cannes Film Festival. Everybody hates Chris, and he's Public Enemy No. 1. He might as well have his bags packed because his departure seems to be all but guaranteed.
Of course, it's easier said than done. Look at last week, when it seemed a sure thing he would get the boot. A twist helped him survive. Will the season 3 villain be so lucky again and get another chance to stay?
As for the rest of the contestants, how's Rachel doing without her husband two-week boyfriend, Michael? How will Jaclyn react when Ed tells her about a girl from home?
With the players now playing as couples -- meaning they vote together and get eliminated together -- which two are going home next?

William Austin, a former white supremacist gang banger turned whistleblower and devout Christian, has filed a law suit against the A&E Television Networks. Austin claims the network endangered his life when they used images of him in an episode of History Channel's "Gangland."
"[Austin] has received death threats ... now that his image has been published on television. He constantly fears for his life and is in daily anguish as a result of the unauthorized publication of his likeness," reads the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in California Superior Court.
Austin claims his photo was used in an episode of the "Gangland" documentary television show that aired on April 21, 2010. According to an online description of that episode, it was about "Public Enemy No. 1," a white supremacist street gang based in southern California.
In 2004, the California Department of Justice described the gang as "one of the most powerful and fastest-growing gangs inside and outside prison.

This weekend, as moviegoers laugh along to Ice Cube's comic turn as a churlish police officer in the new comedy "21 Jump Street," how many will recall that the multi-talented performer was once so controversial that his very image was banned from public display in the state of Oregon? The specific cause of the ban was the cover of Ice Cube's 1991 solo album, "Death Certificate," which showed him pledging allegiance to Uncle Sam. Patriotic enough, except that this Uncle Sam is dead, laid out on a gurney and wrapped in the American flag. It was hardly the first time Ice Cube had provoked controversy with his raw, combative commentary on U.S. society. Ice Cube (given name: O'Shea Jackson) first made a name for himself as a member of the rap group N.W.A., whose unapologetic celebration of gangster life in South Central, Los Angeles, earned the adoration of millions...
