Everyone needs an escape from time to time. A place apart from reality, where the strange whisper with the miraculous, and cheap trinkets are bartered with greasy denizens of the night. What better place to set a horror film than the carnival, where the potential for mystery awaits around every crimson tent and distorted mirror? If you’re so inclined, step right up and buy a ticket to The Funhouse (1981), the late Tobe Hooper’s wonderful tribute to the seedy shadowed world of carnies, caramel apples, and Universal monsters.
Released in March by Universal, The Funhouse underperformed at the box office, but critics (including Gene Siskel) admired it for focusing on suspense and thrills rather than gruesome mayhem. In a landscape littered with severed limbs and phallically inclined urban legends, Mr. Hooper used his genius to once again showcase the underbelly of the American psyche, this time with a major studio’s dollars.

When Rumer Willis held up that Mirrorball trophy after winning the 20th season of Dancing With The Stars earlier this year, it marked a crucial moment on her journey to showing the world her true self.
"It was such a powerful thing for me to be connected to fans in a real way," she tells People at the Black Label Bacon Strop Show in Las Vegas on Friday. "I've always come from the school of thought that, 'Look, if you get to know me and you don't like me, do you, that's okay. I'm cool with that.' "

Rumer Willis recently turned heads at an unusual event. The 27-year-old actress and daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis wore a sexy, plunging asymmetrical fringe dress while hosting the Bacon Strip Show, a bacon-themed burlesque performance sponsored by Hormel Black Label Bacon, at the Marquee nightclub and dayclub in Las Vegas on Friday. She paired the look with metallic pumps. The show featured acrobats, singers, aerial acts and magicians as well as four burlesque dancers named after four of Hormel Black Label Bacon's premium varieties—Cherrywood, Pecanwood, Brown Sugar and Jalapeño. Rumer had showed her own sexy dance moves in earlier this year on...

Though 2015 has seen the arrival of one of cinema’s all-time best female characters in Mad Max: Fury Road’s Furiosa (Charlize Theron), it’s apparent that Hollywood still has something of a woman problem.
Even when a movie presents a strong or interesting female, there’s a good chance she’s going to end up ridiculously sexualised compared to any male counterpart (just look at Black Widow in the Avengers and Iron Man movies), and a film passing the Bechdel test (in which two women have a conversation which isn’t about a man) is never guaranteed.
From movies that deliberately poked at society’s gender hang-ups to misguided sex scenes, awful messages for young girls and everything in between, these 12 scenes only further the belief by many feminists that Hollywood hates women and won’t just treat them like what they really are: human beings.

Lindsay Lohan has denied reports she is set to shed her clothes in a new topless Las Vegas stage act.
The 22-year-old was snapped posing with ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown on the opening evening of sexy striptease production Peepshow - which sees the former singer perform a range of Burlesque-style routines in the Sin City revue.
Brown won rave revues for her performance and her body as she kicked-off the show last week, which will see different celebrities rotate in the lead role.
And speculation mounted that Lohan, who hasn't starred in a film since 2007, had jetted to Las Vegas to meet up with the revue's creator, Broadway director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell.
She had reportedly talked to Mitchell about the possibility of taking over from actress Kelly Monaco once her stint is over.
But the Mean Girls star's rep has brushed off the rumours.
The spokesperson tells Radar Online, "She isn't interested at this time but it seems people are out there are saying she is doing this."...
