Samuel L. Jackson is set to star as a hitman in an untitled thriller to be directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra and written by Matthew Stone.
Endeavor Content will represent worldwide sales for the film at the European Film Market, and it will be produced by John Davis, known for “The Predator” franchise and “Game Night.”

When his nephew, Leslie, makes a stupid mistake, Morris gets a call from his old boss and must negotiate one last job: either help the kid recover the lost money, or put a bullet in him. Every so often, we take a second to reflect on our celebrity crushes of yore, from boy band members to cute TV actors, and wonder: what the hell happened to them? An adorable heartthrob named Jonathan Taylor Thomas (affectionately known as Jtt) had a heyday in the '90s, taking over the covers of teenybopper magazines and making us swoon each week as Randy Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement. Between 1991 and 1999, Jtt's cute little face and floppy middle-parted hair was also featured in big-screen classics like Man of the House, Tom and Huck, Wild America, and I'll Be Home For Christmas, and he also lent his voice to Disney's The Lion King as young Simba. After a smooth run of success, Jonathan Taylor Thomas seemingly disappeared. Poof! In 2013, Jonathan opened up about his decision to leave the spotlight, telling People that he had "been going nonstop since I was 8 years old,...

He famously voiced young Simba in The Lion King, and in Disney movies like Man of the House and Tom and Huck, Jtt showed off his sweet charm. Along with his popular role on Home Improvement, he later had fans swooning with appearances on TV shows like Smallville and 8 Simple Rules. To celebrate Jtt fandom in all its '90s glory, take a look at reasons the 33-year-old actor was - and always will be - one of the best teen heartthrobs.

The 1990s: a time when Sleepwalkers, Burt Reynolds, No Escape, Chevy Chase and F/X/2 could top the Us box office...
By the 1990s, studios were waking up to movie marketing, and the era of the blockbuster. Tim Burton's Batman, released in summer 1989, had introduced the idea of a big opening weekend, and modern movies now target their promotional work to get just that. As such, it's harder and harder for smaller films to snare the top slot at the Us box office, even for one weekend.
In the 1990s, particularly the first half of the 1990s, that wasn't so much the case though. In fact, many films that have long since fallen from the public conscious topped the chart. And in this piece, I've tried to capture some of them.
Inevitably, you're going to have heard of some of them, and what a UK dweller sees as a...

Maybe these child stars are the smart ones — the ones who escaped Hollywood before their fame trains collided. They're the ones who could offer Amanda Bynes some advice. Before anyone calls these former stars has-beens, consider paying regards to their success at finding stability. Still, we miss you guys! The world isn't the same without Kimmy Gibbler and Ferguson Darling.

As any woman in her mid-to-late twenties can attest, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, or Jtt as he was known around the Teen Bop/Bop/Tiger Beat/Tiger Bop/Tiger Teens Beep Bop Ba Doop community, was a big deal growing up. You were either so entirely obsessed with the Home Improvement dreamboat that it was hard to tell where the Jtt posters hanging in your bedroom ended and your actual wall paper began, or you had a best friend who did. (I was of the latter category. And as a true testament to how much I love my best friend, I...

Actress Lindsay Lohan won't be starring as porn star Linda Lovelace in "Inferno" after all.
The troubled starlet was to make her comeback playing the famous porn star in "Inferno," but director Matthew Wilder told E! Online he could no longer wait for Lohan as she continues her treatment at the Betty Ford clinic.
"We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," Wilder said. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard.

On Sunday night during the "In Memoriam" segment of the Oscars telecast, many viewers were shocked that Farrah Fawcett was excluded from the segment, which included Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze, Brittany Murphy, Ron Silver and others.
Fawcett's longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal, said in a statement to People.com that "there is no comment other than we were disappointed that she was not included." But a reporter for X17 caught up with O'Neal on Monday (March 8) and spoke briefly with him.
"I'm as confused as everyone about it, you see?," O'Neal said. "They have to explain it, I can't. Poor Farrah, is all I can say."
Asked if he was planning to send a note to the Academy, O'Neal said, "We're writing one, [daughter] Tatum and I, we're writing a letter.

One big name that didn't appear in the Oscars 'In Memoriam' tribute to actors and filmmakers lost in the past year was Farrah Fawcett, who died last June of cancer at the age of 62. The segment is generally dedicated to film stars, and while Farrah was best known for her role on the television series 'Charlie's Angels,' she also lit up the big screen in movies such as 'Man of the House,' 'Dr. T and the Women' and 'The Apostle.' Also left off the list was Bea Arthur, who died in April at the age of 86. ...

The more Sundance trailers that are released, the more saddened I become that I am not there to frolic in the cold thin air and watch a bunch of buzzed-about films. Yet another movie to look forward to is the Duplass brothers’ Cyrus. You may know them for their mumblecore films, including Baghead and The Puffy Chair, but this film is their big budget debut and it looks pretty compelling to me. As a child of divorce, I can relate to the character played by Jonah Hill, though he takes it to a creepy Oedipal level. The deadpan humor is what makes me anxious to see this one in a story reminiscent of that kind of awful Chevy Chase comedy Man Of The House. The trailer does seem to be hitting on just one note, but I am hopeful that the Duplass brothers won’t disappoint us, and are not...
