- The Gyaos are cannibalistic and one scene shows a Gyaos gulping down on pieces of dead Gyaos.
- Kaiju, or monsters fighting each other. Mostly with blasts from their mouths. References to people being eaten by monsters. Goopy stuff shown as monster carnage, more pink than bloody. Scenes where people are supposed to be eaten, but shows non-distinct goopy stuff being munched on. A teenage girl has a mind connection with Gamera that links his injuries to her. She bleeds from the arm (shown in a split second) and later has a slit on her cheek for a few scenes. Later, these wounds literally disappear in a magical, sparkly way. Also, many buildings, planes, pieces of earth exploding or otherwise being destroyed.

- The monsters might be seen as frightening to very young children, though are quite simplistic. Of course, they are present throughout the film.
- Unlike most of the prior Gamera movies, this one is serious and realistic. It isn't fun, goofy or campy and delves deeper in thriller movie aspects and deep themes.
