Man, I'm ultra forgiving of Brigitte Nielsen. She's been in some movies the normal world dunks on, like Red Sonja and Domino - who am I kidding, I'm the only person I know who has seen this movie where Nielsen plays a music video director who has a pet turtle and an obsession with Billie Holiday - and I am a fan of every one of them.

Kyla (Richard Moll) has destroyed Sintaria to get the jewel that he needs to rule everything. He didn't count on invisible woman Ladera (Nielsen) to track down another jewel and challenge him, much less the fight coming to Earth. She has to help a human named Jed and fight mercenaries led by Victor Menendez, who is played by an actor named Fred Asparagus, who was Joe "Mama" Besser in This Is Spinal Tap.

This is a movie made for people like, well, you. People who come to this site and say, "I wonder what Cindy Morgan did after Tron and Caddyshack?" The answer is, she played a cop in Galaxis.

William Mesa, who directed this, was a special effects guy. He still is, as he's worked on movies like Geostorm and Dolphin Tale 2 in recent years. He also directed The Darkening.

Also known as Terminal Force and Starforce, if you get drunk enough, you can pretend that you are watching The Hidden or I Come In Peace.

The first 10 minutes are good

They seem to have spent their whole budget on the not too badly done Sci-Fi battle at the beginning. After that, nothing but garbage. It looks filmed on a soundstage, the plot makes little sense, and the acting is pretty poor. As usual, Brigitte Nielsen looks pretty darned good and shows a fair bit of cleavage.

Aside from her and the first 10 minutes, it's a waste of film.

Terminal Force

Once again we had a reviewer who was criticizing a movie but was not a critic. This movie was entertaining and centered on a civilization that required a crystal to maintain order and peace for its people. The story opens with its people under attack by an evil empire led by Kyla who wants to posses the crystal. Tarkin leads the peaceful people with his sister Ladera. The Septarians are forced in to an underground bunker to preserve the crystal. HoweverKyla breaks breaks through kills Tarkin steals the crystal and flees. However, Ladera arrives before her brother passes on and he let's her know there is another crystal on Earth. The story shifts to Earth. The script while simple is easy to follow. Jed is the young man on Earthnthat discovers the crystal while in Peru. He had borrowed money from corrupt kingpin and at this time had no resources to pay Victor back. Appearing on Earth for the crystal are Ladera and Kyla. What follows is process of the local police, Jed, Ladera and Kyla trying to obtain the crystal. The action is great, the effects are okay and the acting is great. These are professional actors performing in a sci fi movie. Many of the earthlings are dumbfounded at first and act the part very well. The two aliens Ladera and Kyla perform their roles with aplomb as well. All in all a very entertaining sci fi movie.

Really bad Terminator-style sci-fi clone

An undistinguished attempt at a science fiction thriller, with plot elements borrowed from THE TERMINATOR. This lame entry into the genre is directed by William Mesa, who also made a mess of DNA, another horrendous rip off. The plot, or lack of plot, involves two aliens hunting for a crystal on earth. Yes, it's as silly as it sounds, with scenes such as the police station being attacked borrowed directly from THE TERMINATOR. Ludicrous in the extreme, this hokum actually thinks its good as scene after unoriginal scene is paraded out in front of the audience.

The characters are all clichéd and one-dimensional, from the stultifying human lead to the black policeman who just misses the action, to the main baddie Kyler who tries to look menacing but just comes across as an old man with a chip on his shoulder. Brigitte Nielsen proves again that she simply cannot act, and the hype of her appearing in a leather outfit is just over the top, it's nothing to write home about. Supporting actors are wasted in minor roles, with Craig Fairbrass who has a certain cult appeal appearing as a tough lieutenant of the army who gets killed in the opening scene. As does Sam Raimi, making a welcome but all far too brief cameo appearance, apparently feeling nostalgic about his low budget roots.

The special effects are also extraordinarily bad. The explosions are the best things but even they are unrealistic, mainly superimposed over the top of the film. At one point, a police car explodes, only for the car to appear momentarily undamaged for a second after the explosion has ended! Childish laser guns are used, as well as that bad 'electricity' effect used in everything from RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART 2 to FRANKENHOOKER. There is some interesting stop-motion work in the form of a killer robot which looks strangely like the robot droids in THE PHANTOM MENACE to liven things up; it looks tacky to the extreme but it's a welcome relief from the standard computer effects of today's films. There are some brief flashes of gore too, but as this is a 15 certificate (PG-13) film, don't expect too much violence - it's mainly off screen. TERMINAL FORCE is a below average B movie, with a few factors making it rise above complete obscurity. Watch it if you're a fan of bad straight-to-video science fiction.

Part "Star Wars", part "Terminator", but ALL turkey. A film so bad it needs to go by aliases: Galaxis AKA Galactic Force AKA Star Crystal AKA Terminal Force...

After watching it I can't believe it was made in 1995 - I thought hairdos and costume design that bad could only have come from the mid-80s. Maybe it was kept in the can for 10 years before someone had the gall to release it.

There's not a single part of film making that this movie doesn't insult. Some might think it has a kind of so-bad-it's-funny kind of appeal, but that wears thin very quickly.

And I can't finish without mentioning the acting; the combined sum of the bad acting in this movie would dwarf the combined sum of bad acting in any other movie in the history of film.

Don't watch it, not even for a laugh.

Galaxy, Warp to Boredom

This is an utter waste of time, and the money should have used to feed starving children in Tazmania, or to fund another fake landing on the moon project.

Nielsen is still around after her big break up to Sly. She still can't act, and it shows here. In my version, she did not even get topless. Where is Sybil Danning when we needed her?

This must be one of the most insanely preposterous movies I have ever seen. It looks like something from the late 1970's sci-fi phase, and it even has a stop-motion robot that was terribly done, and it was made in 1995.

Something about the story is, that an evil magician lord, who is trying to conquer the universe, shows up in some ship and shoots people dead, and then everything teleports to Earth, where it was cheaper to film because then you don't have to build big futuristic sets.

Brilliant concept.

Anyways, this is purely for the birds.

Be sure to have a copy of some classic 1950s sci-fi to rinse your brain after watching this fiasco.

The script sucks, the directing is bad, and I feel sorry for the actors.

At first I wanted to blame the actors for their bad acting and then I wanted to blame the director, but I believe the largest blame should go to the screenwriter. Every performance in this film (even by the extras) sucks (that's the director's fault), but the words they are attempting to utter are so bad that the problem must start with the screenwriter. Not only is the dialog bad, the plot doesn't follow any logical sense.

Don't waste any part of your life watching this movie!

80's-ish, B Grade, hammy sci fi (calling it SF is really being too nice!)

Saw this the other night on late night TV. A piece of poop really! There are some fine performances by anyone who died in the film, because considering the (over) acting, the dead ones were the most believable!

The plot steals from extensively from Terminator & T2. Being a 1995 release, one would expect more! Moreover, the poor optical effects makes this feel like 80s schlock rather than 90s SF.

I also have to mention one scene where the directors tried their best to pull off the night club scene from Blade Runner. Looked more like the cafeteria scene from my local senior citizen's club.

If you watch this again, watch out in the club scene for the so called "Chinese" writing on the walls. Imagine someone trying to write in English without knowing the Roman alphabet and that's what you had on those walls, utter gibberish.

I recommend you see this whilst inebriated, apparently the writers were!

Will not win any oscar but still a good sci fi flick

First off in an era of trash bad CG effects this movie made in 1995 had none of this, honest i tough the special effects where pretty good.

This movie deserves a better rating then a mediocre 2.8 maybe its the hate for Bridgette Nielsen or else but this movie is not half as bad.

a funny sci fi motion picture

A funny sci fi motion picture which I thought was pleasant, and of course the special effects were great. Brigette Neilson is always a delight as a tough warrior, with a "kick butt" attitude. It was a surprising delight to see actress Louisa Moritz again after so many years making a brief appearance as the Bar Lady.

Campy, stupid, fun.

Wow... this movie is total fun. It doesn't attempt to be mind-blowing or original but it succeeds in providing campy entertainment. It does parody other movies (that's a nice way of saying rip off) extensively, taking full scenes like the "police headquarters terminator invasion" from the first Terminator and the entire Hoth storyline and imagery from Star Wars: The Empire... They even got the clear strategic panel. And Lord Tarkin.... ha! This movie has its faults in that it's total B-movie. But this only enhanced it for me, and the presence of Nielsen (a fav.) was very cool. Her character meant nothing in the beginning, but grew on me, and her "Nooo!" scream was the funniest I've seen in some time. Great stuff, if you can watch it without pretenses!
