In the true spirit of low budget film making the giant dart is a cardboard tube and nose cone, spray painted silver with feathers and a rubber tip glued to it.
Director Fred Olen Ray said about this movie: "The big attraction to me was it's probably the only film, other than Village of the Giants (1965), that has these two giants fighting. It's sort of like The War of the Gargantuas (1966), actually. I thought, 'Now that would be something - a cat-fight between two giant women in downtown Hollywood.' After I told Roger Corman all the things I wanted to do, I was quite nervous that I wouldn't be able to do all that I said I was going to do. So, it became a very, very demanding show."
