There is some kissing and references

An astronaut is showering with a woman. The phone rings and she asks him to let it ring. We see him get out of the shower and her behind him. They are then both seen only covered by towels. The man's bare upper body is clearly visible.

An astronaut and his wife are relaxing on lounge chairs. He climbs into her chair and playfully kisses her and touches her.

A reference to an STD; one astronaut speculates that another, whom the movie presents as promiscuous, gave him the clap by using his relief tube.

In an opening scene, Jack is seen talking with a woman, holding a beer bottle and a glass. He inserts the bottle inside the glass and speaks suggestively as an innuendo for intercourse.

A teen girl is told by her mother that her outfit is inappropriate. Her younger sister states "she's not even wearing a bra - you can see everything". Nothing is visible to the camera. The scene is brief.

A woman is shown in the shower. Most of the scene shows her from the shoulders up. However, technically, as she bends over to retrieve something, a blurry, bare breast is shown for a couple frames. This isn't visible unless you freeze-frame.

An astronaut is urinating in space. There is a hose attached to the waist of his spacesuit. It's not obvious what he's doing, but he remarks "It's too bad we can't demonstrate this on TV". They then show the urine being dumped into space.

A woman is seen wearing a blue babydoll nightgown in one scene.

An astronaut prop with a gory exploding head was almost used for the nightmare sequence. If it was included in the final product, it would've earned an R rating.

There is a scene where a group of astronauts are blown into space.

In the opening prologue there is a scene of the Apollo 1 fire and we briefly see the trapped astronauts in the fire while the voice over refers to it as a tragedy.

There are a few quick shots of an early space crew that perished in a fire and the worst shows a man beating on a window with a fire in the background (and we're told that three people died).

A nightmare sequence shows an accident in outer space where a hatch is blown off and one of the crew members struggles to keep from being sucked out, but loses his battle.

After the initial explosion, the entire rest of the movie becomes a long and tense sequence of events as the men try to return to Earth.
