Dr Murath Teherani and his young wife Claudia move into a house on the outskirts of Leipzig. Its glass veranda fills the house with light, but also exposes them to the curious gazes of the neighbors. The couple soon feels itself not only observed, but threatened, as they see people slinking around the house and receive anonymous letters and phone calls as well as unannounced visits. Claudia is especially worried that her husband, an Iranian, may be the target of xenophobia.
