- Frequent scenes of female characters (most notably Kei and Yuri) in scant or revealing clothing.
- Infrequent scenes of partial or complete nudity (breasts and occasional buttocks shots, nothing graphic), again centered mostly on the female leads.

- In one episode, an ancillary female character is unveiled to be a lesbian, coming on to Yuri and displaying signs of affection towards her.

- The Lovely Angels are known as the "Dirty Pair" due to their proclivity for causing major collateral damage throughout their missions; indeed, more often than not when cases are closed they end up destroying buildings, vehicles and space craft, resulting in injury to others or, sometimes, themselves.
- Numerous fight scenes throughout the series, either hand-to-hand or weapons-based, again resulting in injury.
- A few characters die throughout the series' run.
Profanity

- Mild to moderately strong cursing ("shit" is the worst offender).
