Country artist Travis Tritt has become the latest right-wing musician to denounce Anheuser-Busch products after the world’s largest brewing company partnered with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
On Sunday (2 April), Mulvaney shared a sponsored post on her Instagram account promoting Bud Light’s March Madness contest, prompting anti-trans backlash.
Scores of videos have been shared on social media showing conservative consumers pouring drinks owned by the company, including Budweiser and Michelob, away or smashing them up.
On Wednesday, Tritt shared a string of tweets in support of the Anheuser-Busch boycott.
“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same,” the “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive” singer wrote.
“Other artists who are deleting Anheuser-Busch products from their hospitality rider might not say so in public for fear of being ridiculed and cancelled. I have no such fear,...

One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush had a worrying encounter with a stranger in a bar last month.
The actor was at the Chicago establishment on St Patrick’s Day (17 March) when a man “stuck his camera right in my face to take a picture”.
Bush said on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast on Tuesday (4 April) that the man “almost hit me right in the face with his phone”.
The actor, who also starred in Chicago Pd, claimed that, after he kept photographing her for approximately an hour, she told him: “Hi, I’m a person. I’d like to shake your hand. My name is Sophia. You’re making me really uncomfortable, man. I’ve asked you to stop.”
She continued: “‘I’m a girl in a bar. You are a man I do not know. I don’t wanna be videoed on your phone. And my friends don’t either.

Italy’s Cinecittà studios have returned to profit one year ahead of the schedule set in its 2022 to 2026 industrial plan, aimed at returning the facility to its former glory as a major international filming hub.
It is the first time the complex’s results have been in the black since it was taken back under state control in 2017, after being run into the ground under private ownership for more than two decades.
Parent body Cinecittà S.p.A announced a $1.9 million (1.8 million euros) net profit for 2022, and a doubling of turnover to $42.3 million (39 million euros) against 2021, mainly on the back of a raft of bookings for the facilities.
The company said the complex had been booked to above 75% capacity in 2022, against 31% in 2021, a trend that has continued into 2023.
Detailing the $42 million turnover, Cinecittà S.p.A said $37.4 million (34.5 million euros) was related to the soundstages, venues, and set designs, with...
