When Buster and Babs are falling after going over the waterfall Buster grabs onto Babs and says "I've got you!" to which she responds "But whose got you?". These are the same lines spoken (respectively) by Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder from the film Superman (1978) when Lois Lane falls from the top of the Daily Planet building and is caught by Superman in mid-air. At this moment Superman flies up to catch Buster and Babs, responding to her question with "I do, kids!"
This film marks the first time the Road Runner gets ran over.
The first animated feature to be released direct-to-video in the U.S.
When Babs goes over the waterfall she lands in a pool and goes under water to find a group of fish, crustaceans and a mermaid playing instruments and singing a tune (seemingly) called "Beneath The Ocean"; an obvious parody of the famous song "Under The Sea" from The Little Mermaid (1989). Babs immediately utters "Whoops. Wrong Cartoon"
The THUD sound system promo during the theater scene is a parody of Lucasfilm's famous THX promos, the slogan of which is "The Audience is Listening". The announcer in this says "The Audience is Now Deaf."
