The first of two failed sitcoms produced by Roseanne Barr for her husband Tom Arnold. The next was titled "Tom."
The main theme sounds very similar to Metallica's "Enter Sandman." As the credits begin, a happy-go-lucky theme depicts what audiences think of the comic Jackie Thomas, then turns into the heavy-metal score showing the louse he really is.
Co-star Alison La Placa went on to co-star as Tom Arnold's wife on his next sitcom attempt; it was also produced by Roseanne Barr, but was less successful than this show.
Dennis Boutsikaris is the secondary lead, and in one episode, a character named Elmer was played by then-unknown comedy actor/writer Bob Odenkirk. Boutsikaris would become a semi-regular on Odenkirk's
"Breaking Bad" prequel spinoff, "Better Call Saul"; they both played lawyers.
The main character is the twin brother of Tom's character on Roseanne.
